The Fin Hotel, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

This hotel is super cute and the aesthetic is pleasing. Sultan the manager was very polite and helped us out with our stay. This hotel will exceed your expectations.

Stayed for a short trip & it was perfect, lots of shops/cafes are walking distance.

This hotel is so, so, so, so bad. So bad in fact, we checked out early even though we could not get our money back. There is a total lack of insulation in the room, and you can hear anything and everything that happens. People talking outside, any step sounds like pounding above your head, toilets flush...everything! When a person showers near you, it sounds like you are living in a waterfall. As if that is not bad enough, the beds and pillows are terrible. Save your money and your sanity, stay ANYWHERE else.

This little hotel is a delightful mix of hospitality and modern charm packed into 1920s sized rooms. Expect to be cozy and comfortable! The manager and staff were all very kind and helpful and made my stay perfect. I highly recommend the adjacent restaurant and coffee shop too!

Extremely disappointing and over priced. Small room, musty smell. Top sheet on the bed which doubled for a bedspread was damp when we checked in. Can’t believe this is a Hilton Tapestry hotel. I have also complained to Hilton as this is supposed to be a boutique hotel.

Rooms were very clean and dining/happy hour was nice atmosphere and quality. Rooms were a bit noisy from your neighbor, because the walls are so thin. Could hear the person in the room next to me on a conference call at 3AM and lost sleep both nights. Management is very poor and registration staff needs proper training. Rental car was towed the first night because the front desk staff stated I should park in the alley behind the hotel, when he should have stated to park in the lot at the end of the alley behind the hotel (no signs indicating where to park). Hotel Manager was not customer friendly, very disrespectful, and needs to be under review. Poor leadership leads to unhealthy staff.

I booked a Bungalow room at the Oceanside, California location and paid for the room in advance. When I checked into the hotel at the appointed time, however, I was told that the room was not available. It was not clear why. Later, I would learn that the hotel overbooked my room. I still do not know what that means and why my reservation was not honored. Afterall, I prepaid and it was non-refundable. Anyway, I was offered a smaller room (which had a cheaper rate), but was not offered a refund for the price difference at check-in. It was not until I complained to Hilton customer service about the issue did the property manager offer me a couple of free breakfast coupons. This covered the first night (somewhat), but not the second night. Again, I had to press the manager to get consideration for the second night. I walked away from this experience feeling that the hotel wanted me to go away even though I upheld my end of the bargain. I will not go back to this hotel. And for future guests, you may be better of calling in advance to see if the room you booked is availab.e

This small hotel is just a short walk from the train station. We found the staff to be welcoming and efficient. The room was clean and comfortable and the walk in shower was terrific. We were pleasantly surprised to find robes in the bathroom. The lobby area doubles as extra table seating for the attached small, gourmet restaurant. Both coffee and tea in the restaurant were excellent. The tea offered is loose leaf and properly brewed with an infuser. There are plenty of restaurants and shops as well as a movie theater and a playhouse theater within a short ( 10 minutes or less) walk. The beach and pier areas are less than a fifteen minute walk and the FIN even offers beach towels.
