BEWARE! I made a reservation for 4 nights at Amaria, and my credit card was charged in full. Within moments I emailed the hotel to cancel the reservation. They responded "we will cancel it from our system and proceed with the full refund by today". I never received the refund. When I followed up they said they could not refund it back to my credit card due to problems with their website, so they would instead send an international bank transfer. The money, over $700, has never been received by my bank. I have followed up multiple times with owner Nuno, who has assured me the money was sent, but has now stopped responding. This is unprofessional and dishonest! I have traveled all over the world and stayed in many hotels and never has anything like this happened. It is the hotel's responsibility to find a means to refund my money. Travelers beware before you pay ahead for a room at Amaria!
