We are on the last day of our trip in Lagos. The second time we've stayed at the Marina Club Lagos. We opted for a one bed apartment with a pool/marina view and we included breakfast. The room was lovely. A large double bed for my wife and I in the bedroom, and two convertible sofa beds in the living area for the children which are large and comfortable. The kitchen/living area included a microwave oven, a sink, hob, toaster, kettle and coffee machine. Cutlery, crockery and glassware is all included. A TV is also in the main living area. The bedroom has a built-in wardrobe which includes a free safe and a few coat hangers (more needed). There is an extra wardrobe in the hallway. The bathroom has a shower, large sink, loo and bidet. A hairdryer is within. Very clean. The balcony is a great size and has furniture and clothes drying area. In all the apartment is basic in appearance but is spacious and clean which as a base is enough for us. The only addition required is an iron and ironing board. The pool is great. A good size, plenty of loungers and a pool bar with a happy hour between 15.00 and 17.00. The staff there a lovely. Especially Amy! Breakfast in the restaurant was decent. Continental and UK options. Juice and coffee included. The hotel bar is beautiful and again the staff are great. Location wise the hotel is amazing. Right on the Marina. A few mins walk to the old town, however close to a few local bars and a large supermarket. Approx 10 to 15 mins walk to the beautiful beach. The only real negative which caught me was non-guest people walking in from the street to use the pool. We saw it regularly and also spoke to people openly admitting to doing so. Not good when there are paying customers present, and also a security risk. This really needs addressing simply by giving guests wrist bands. In all, another fantastic stay. A beautiful hotel. Great staff. We will definitely return.
