Although the facilities are old, they are functional and have hot springs. It is close to Hobbiton and is a good place to spend the night.

We went to the private hot springs bath. The receptionist gave us directions to the place but did so quickly, so I asked him to repeat them. He then got mad at me and started to take the key back from me.Great start, right? The pools was nicely situated, but the water was tepid, not hot. No showers. Someone walked in on us as well. Later I was told the water has only CO2. No minerals. Not recommended!

The hosts were fabulous and friendly, the pools were amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed our short stay.

Very nice unit, all very clean. The choice of different pools is great (a big one at 28 degrees, another smaller at 37 and an even smaller one at 39). The only downside is that they only open at 9.00am and the check out is at 10. But otherwise, great place to stay :)

Clean and tidy, well kept grass areas. Tourist flat was a bit run down and basic worth of fashioned decorations, but very convenient facility for what we needed.

After being in a hot pool that is recommended not to put your head in the water, there is NO shower with hot water. There is only 1 shower with cold water. Also the changing rooms were dark, no light even on a sunny day. The doors for the cubicles to get changed have no lock so the door keeps opening and hitting you. I complained to the reception and he was rude. NEVER AGAIN!!

Only stayed one night thankfully as facilities were terrible - reading over the reviews over the past years sounds like this place is well and truly overdue for a make over which is a shame as the setting is quite nice. The pools are an asset to this camp ground but that alone will not keep people coming back - we tried to relax in the pools at night but unfortunately children where not supervised in the mineral pools so it was not as relaxing as it could of be.

Second time staying. Well maintained campgrounds with good clean facilities the bonus of heated mineral pools. The hosts are friendly and helpful. We will be back again in the future.
