Downtown Oklahoma City
I was in town to help my son move to OKC. A little stressful until we met April at the front desk who helped us get settled in. April is professional, calm, very, very helpful and gave us such a great first impression of Oklahoma City. The hotel is roomy, has a relaxing lobby, bar area and is close (walking distance) to so many tourist attractions. Most every OKC resident we met was so nice and it all started with April. Thank you April! - We hope to see you next time we are in town.

Great service. Beautiful hotel. I wish they had better breakfast options. Even the complementary coffee was done as inexpensively as possible. But, great location. Right by all the major highways. Stores and shopping withing a few blocks, are aplenty. The colors of the room are this cool blue color. Very relaxing. The best T.V. that I have ever seen in a room. But, only 40 channels. 10 of the channels are ESPN channels another 10 or more are new channels. So it was difficult to find anything interesting to watch. Very small deposit (which was nice).

In general, this is a pretty nice place to stay. The coziness factor is really appealing - I’m always drawn to smaller properties because I feel there is better customer service. I stayed twice at this hotel in the last month, on two different occasions. The first stay was absolutely perfect; my room was on the top (3rd) floor, and faced north, which is the outside of the hotel. (The inward/pool facing rooms have a courtyard area and a pool, which is great if you don’t mind the inevitable sound of people if the weather is fine, but I don’t enjoy that at all.). The second stay was on the 2nd floor, also facing north. This one wasn’t such a good stay because the A/C was not working, and there was no one there when I checked in at 11:30pm to fix it. I was too exhausted to change rooms, so left the patio/balcony door open for cool air. That made the room quite comfortable, but also vulnerable to noise, so at 5 o’clock in the morning when people were starting to check out, after only 5 hours of sleep, the constant noise finally provoked my wake-up. Also, the maid service didn’t leave the same amount of towels as they had on my previous stay (only 2 weeks earlier). In fact, there was only one facecloth and hand towel, versus the 2 each on the previous stay. On both stays, I had a good, hot breakfast and a freshly prepared cappuccino in the lounge case area, and worked out in the handy gym. So, overall, I would recommend the hotel but would suggest that the maintenance folks check the A/C routinely, yes, even in March. At one time in my life I actually lived in OK in military service, and remember that March can be very fickle - high temperatures be 40 degrees one day and push 80 the next. I remember having to run the A/C on Thanksgiving day two out of the four years I lived there. So PLEASE, Courtyard folks, make sure that A/C works, even in the off-season.
