Residence Inn Oklahoma City South

The location was in a weird spot due to a lot of shut down businesses, but right behind a Texas Roadhouse, which was really nice because I could actually walk to the restaurant!!! The staff was really helpful, friendly, and very aware of safety! Example was when I was sitting out in my car, it was late and I was out there for a while, but when I came back in, the front desk person made sure that I was alright and if I needed anything!!! I appreciate that, a lot!!!

Upon checkin, our room had food items in the refrigerator, trash cans had trash in them, and the room had no pillows on the bed, no towels or toilet paper in the bathroom, and was missing several kitchen items (utensils, pottery). It took ~24 hours, but we eventually obtained most of those items and were ultimately moved to a different room that had everything and was an upgrade. Some of the staff were professional and sincerely trying to improve the operations of the location.

Got there and was told that we would not be able to stay in the 2-bedroom we had reserved a month earlier. We were then given two one-bedroom units which did not work out very well for our family situation. Then in one of the units, the thermostat malfunctioned which made the room very, very hot. Had to vacate that room in the middle of the night. On top of all that, there was no breakfast left for us in the morning and this was maybe 9 a.m. Overall a very weird vibe. There was this guy wandering around the halls, standing in front of a door, then saw him again standing in front of another door. Plus, people hanging around the front of the building and in the parking lot. Just didn't feel comfortable at all. Had dirty feel to it also, maybe it was the smell and the stickiness of the surfaces. Yuck.

This is a wonderful place to stay for a quick getaway with your spouse or even a clean nice place to stay while traveling.

This should NOT be labeled as a Marriott. If Marriott wishes to give this place their name, bad decision! When we checked in, we asked if we needed to get extra towels, if we just come to the front desk. The girl who checked us in said they do not have extra towels. I asked if it was because they were being laundered. She said no, they do not have extra towels on the property, at all. What we get in the room is what we get. She was serious. She said if i had a problem, to speak to the manager the next day. We had to share towels with our family members because of not enough towels. How is this even acceptable????? I would have gone for towels at a local store but didn't feel safe. Lots of locals or family members hanging out in the parking lot or lobby. Not sure what kind of business is being run here. Also no soap in the rooms to wash your hands. The breakfast is nothing. We went down 30 minutes into it and they were not replenishing food. At check out I asked to speak to the manager, and they were not onsite. Checkout process an ordeal. The woman at the front desk says Marriott Corporation does not supply that location with any support and that is why they are lacking in towels and food and other supplies.. Do not stay here! Do not stay here! I did call corporate as well to let them know they really need someone from their corporate level to come pay them a visit.

Hotel had roaches, no mattress protectors, bedroom door was coming apart, etc.
