Adirondack Lodge Old Forge

Stayed in one of their renovated rooms, it was superb! Love this place for the location and the staff is excellent!!!

Good base for snowmobiling. Room was large enough to accommodate all the warm clothes, boots and helmets for the two of us. Plenty of parking area for vehicles and sleds. Easy access to trail 6. It did get noisy at times as you could often hear people in other rooms. Pool was a nice bonus.

Room and staff were good. I swear there was a herd of elephants on crack above us though. We got to sleep 5 hrs In 3 days

Terrible. Very compassionate. Not willing to go the extra mile, they are all about the money, do yourself a favor and stay at Pine Knoll. Stayed there for 40 years and never once was upset about my stay. I only picked this place because it had a pool, they do not take tap pay and won’t take cash. There don’t care about people at all. The town is wonderful, always has been.

Room was ok … we had a backed up sink but was fixed as soon as we notified the front desk. It was quiet and cozy

The Adirondack Lodge has some nice aspects: The indoor pool is warm and inviting (don't forget to bring a towel from your hotel room); the room was clean and spacious, the bathroom amenities (shower gel, shampoo and conditioner) were fine, the small refrigerator with freezer compartment met our needs, the shower was hot and strong. The gal that checked us in, Audrey, was very nice and welcoming. The location is an easy walk to a convenience store, a bar restaurant (The Nest) and Frankie's Taste of Italy (make reservations). The grounds offer grilling, picnic tables, and Adirondack chairs along with a tennis court. The property is a bit dated (i.e. here and there you will notice a small peel in the wall paper and a wrinkle in the carpet). The coffee provided in the room is tasteless- better to get the drip coffee offered in the office in the morning. The double beds were just inadequate for us as a couple. If you are near 6 ft you will likely find your feet dangling. My husband and I were split on the comfort of the mattress. He said terrible because he sunk. I said it was ok. Parking is advertised as free...know several spots nearest the main building/pool were just a bit tricky to get into and out. The mechanics (fans in bathroom for example) were noisy and we could hear our neighbors at night. Again, our tolerances for noise were different so for husband the stay was marked by a bit of broken sleep. Know that if you choose a first floor room, you are likely to have cars parked right outside your door and if you choose a second floor room with a balcony check first if you need an elevator (we did not see one). The Adirondack Lodge is an inexpensive option for families and couples. Get a room with a bed for your size, bring earplugs if you are sensitive to noise.

This place was a great stop to rest between snowmobile trips.

It is a beautiful room, very cozy, we have been here 3 times so far and look forward to coming back!
