Gokcen Hotel & Apartments

My wife and I stayed with the teenage /grown up children at the end of September to celebrate our marriage...all the positives which have been written previously about the gokcen.... The atmosphere, the friendliness and professionalism shown by the staff is completely true... As a three star hotel it offers 5 star care and attention to its visitors ....we can't recommend the place and scenery around it enough and will be returning next year to enjoy the hospitality on offer ....we would like to say also to Erol that we hope you take time to read all the comments we told you about now the season is over because you are brilliant at what you do and hope we see you there again along with everyone else next time

Gokcen hotel is at the top of a hill so is away from the hustle and bustle but within easy access to Olu Deniz, Hisaronu and Fethiye. It is a friendly hotel with a very calming attractive exterior, pool, gardens, restaurant and beautiful views. The restaurant provides nice food. The rooms are basic but fine. Errol is a credit to the hotel and the waiters who are very quiet are friendly and hard working. The service is comparable to a cruise ship. There is great hiking in the area as well as a beautiful beach

Just returned from the Gokcen Hotel. What a fantastic place! Thank you to all the staff there and especially Erol who just made it for us! Beautiful looked after hotel, great food and drinks available at all times, they just can’t do enough for you and we can’t wait until we can go back. Highly recommend traveling to surrounding places, taxis cheap and buses frequent. Thank you so much and miss you already

Another fantastic holiday at The Gokcen. We've just come back from our second holiday this year at this lovely family run hotel. Ozlem, Ali and all the staff are on hand at all times to ensure a great time. The rooms are simply furnished but very comfortable. This hotel is immaculately clean. Breakfast is included in the price with cereals, yoghurt, fruit, eggs and cheese fresh everyday. A full English breakfast is available for a small charge. I've seen some strange comments regarding the lack of bottled water for hot drinks in the room. This can be purchased but tap water is normal for hot drinks. The hotel is located in a quiet, peaceful area but it is easy and cheap to explore by taxi or dolmus. We can't wait to return next year. A special thank you to the lovel Ashken and Erol. You kept us very entertained .

On arrival, around midnight, we were shown to our "Superior Room" in block D Room 144. Immediately we felt there had been a mistake as it was a tiny room and only had a double bed and one bed side cabinet. There were no windows in the bedroom, only the patio door, which opened onto a tiny balcony with just enough room for two plastic chairs and a tiny plastic table. The room was very dark and dingy even in the daylight. The next morning we queried if it was a superior room and reception confirmed it was ! We were then offered an upgrade which it seems would have cost us an extra £300. We did not take it. The plus points on the room - the fact that the bathroom was OK with a large walk in shower. We had two fitted wardrobes with sliding doors and lots of hangers. The view from the balcony was very pleasant and overlooked the gardens at the front of the block. Minus points on the room - tiny and dark room. Only 1 bedside cabinet. No chair in room. Flatscreen tv initially didn't work. Noisy fridge had to be turned off at night. Tiny balcony with no drying line. Floors never seemed to be mopped and were very dirty and dusty after 2 weeks. The staff, restaurant and bar were excellent, with Erol being the star. The restaurant food of an evening was good with fair prices. There was plenty of outside, seating until it rained, and then everything was covered up. Your options were to go into the under cover restaurant or back to your room. Nowhere on the hotel's website or when you are booking your superior room do any pictures appear which actually show our room, except the standard room picture (for 1 guest) , whick looks suspiciously like our room! When we spoke to other guests, they were in a triple room with two beds and large balconies with a washing line. They said that from previous experience they knew to book the bigger rooms. Very disappointed with our room experience from the start. The jet2 rep offered to try and help but by then (2 days later) we had unpacked and decided to make do. Extra costs. Air con costs £5.00 per day for the whole duration of your stay. Safe at reception casts £2.00 per day. Late room checkout costs £25.00 for 2pm or £45 for 4pm. There are no pool towels so you will have to take or buy some at £5 to £6 each. Take tea/coffee for your room as only a kettle and 2 cups provided.

Thank you for a great 18 days holiday. This family run hotel is fantastic . We had superior triple room we was great plenty of space and lovely balcony and views over the hills. We had meals in the restaurant which were lovely. Thanks to ozlem and all her family of making our holiday great. And who could not foget errol who was great fun. And thanks to milo behind the bar. And we made some new friends. Hope to see you soon.

My sister and I stayed here for two weeks end September beginning October. Lovely family run hotel in a peaceful setting. Ali Ozlem, and Dad are wonderful hosts who are always around should you need anything&Erol is a credit to your hotel. The rooms are clean and spacious,as is the bathroom. Shower is very powerful. Our room was cleaned everyday. We had a fridge and kettle in our room. Air conditioning was extra but we didn’t need to use it. Pool area was kept very clean. Lots of Sunbeds too. Gardens are immaculate with many different fruit trees and herbs . The included breakfast was spot on. Something for everyone. Restaurant served lovely lunches and evening meals. Good quality and very tasty. Ohhhhh and the cakes that come round in the afternoon…… just delicious About half hour walk down to Hisaronu. Dolmus goes regularly from just at top of hill. Taxi button at hotel too. Lovely peaceful hotel away from hustle and bustle.

Well what can I say , not the best hotel we’ve stayed in , bed covers and towels are like cardboard , fridges on a two hr timer so only work for two hrs then go off for two hrs seems bit strange , food that we ate was lovely , no food or drink allowed to be taken in to hotel , no free bottle of water on arrival you have to buy from hotel large bottle was 30 lira , kettles in all rooms but no water to make tea / coffee unless u brought some , breakfast very basic , pool area and gardens are great and Erol was great and chatted to everyone , and we had great views of the mountains , taxi to town was 130 lira each way

This family run hotel is a lovely place to relax. Easy to reach nearby resorts by bus (dolmus) or taxi. Costs very reasonable. We had a junior suite which was very comfortable and spacious with views of the gardens. Well worth the bit extra. Breakfasts were simple and good. When we stayed in for an evening meal, the food was very good and I had my best fish meal (sea bass) of our whole two week holiday. There are plenty of other places to eat nearby. Thank you to Ali and his family and especially to Erol who really looked after us. x
