My partner and I were scheduled to stay at Palisades Tahoe Lodge from March 1-4, 2024. We paid over $2,600 for lodging and were very excited to stay and ski at Palisades. We booked our trip through our American Express card. A little less than one week before our trip, we saw that a massive snowstorm was on its way to Tahoe. On February 26, we called Palisades to cancel the trip because we knew that the storm would prevent us from driving up to the hotel. Palisades refused to refund our money, citing their 14-day cancellation policy. As the day of the trip drew closer, we tried every day to persuade Palisades to refund our money. Even Palisades Lodge staff told us not to travel up to Tahoe, yet they refused to refund our money. We still have not received the money despite the fact that we never stayed in the hotel. This was a much anticipated trip and not an insignificant amount of money for us. As a result, we won't choose Palisades Tahoe as a ski destination in the future.
