I’m in a wheelchair, needed a Handicap room, the Hotel didn’t have any available. My concern was the small bathroom area, had difficulty getting around in my wheelchair. Toilet seat was low, was a safety concern, no grab bars or hand rails. I couldn’t close the bathroom door because I needed to use my wheelchair to get around. I can’t walk, my ankles broken. I had no way to get from my wheelchair to the low toilet seat, short of plopping onto the toilet. To get up off the toilet I had to hoist myself up using the door handle. Thankful I didn’t fall or it would have been a liability issue. I’ve reached out to Corporate management, yet to get a response? All I wanted was to be compensated for this inconvenience. My biggest concern was falling and hurting myself. We should have went elsewhere but it was late and we were tired. We didn’t check the Room until we brought our luggage in, by then we were told there were no handicap rooms available.
