Hotel & Restaurant Wildthout

The stay was pleasant. The staff and management of the hotel were also very pleasant and very friendly. The breakfast was up to Dutch standards and good. The room was too dark and the TV too small. There was a lack of storage space and hanging options as well as in the bathroom. It was ok for these 3 days.

We hadden het 3-daags asperge arrangement geboekt. Er is zeer vriendelijk en deskundig bedienend personeel. Het eten was van uistekende kwaliteit en zeer gevarieerd met als hoofdthema uiteraard asperges. Jammer dat de porties aan de kleine kant waren voor een grote eter. Na hierover een opmerking gemaakt te hebben tegen de ober werd het advies gegeven om dan maar patat en salade (tegen extra betaling) bij te bestellen. De t****e avond gaf ik bij het begin van diner aan dat ik een grote eter was waarop de ober toezegde met de keuken te overleggen wat de mogelijkheden waren. Helaas bleven de porties identiek aan die van mijn partner. De eigenaresse kon helaas niet tegen kritiek en raakte zeer geïrriteerd over mijn opmerkingen bij het afrekenen. De porties waren volgens haar afgestemd op de gemiddelde eter om verspilling te voorkomen en er waren nooit klachten geweest. Op mijn opmerking dat er mogelijk maatwerk geleverd zou kunnen worden zoals door de ober de t****e avond werd gesuggereerd raakte ze nog meer geïrriteerd en inderdaad was de patat en salade tegen betaling het alternatief. De matige wifi in het hotel en kamer zou volgens haar komen door mijn provider, terwijl wifi echt door het hotel wordt aangeboden. Het uitje naar de aspergekweker met een lunch (inclusief) was zeer leerzaam mede door de bevlogen aspergekweker. Al met al hebben we lekker gegeten maar is het niet voor herhaling vatbaar.

We stayed at the Charme Hotel Wildthout in Ommen from April 5 to 7 and had booked the three-day culinary package. We certainly don't regret this, both the four-course and the five-course menu were excellent. Each course was a sensation on the palate, the presentation alone was inviting, each dish was a very good combination of flavors, and the wines served were also of excellent quality. We have stayed in many hotels, but this kitchen was top notch, congratulations to the chef and his team. What may also be mentioned, the staff was very friendly and attentive. The breakfast is not very extensive, but sufficient choice. The room was neat and clean, only a larger closed cupboard to store your clothes would be an improvement, the storage space was too tight. We will definitely come back to this pleasant hotel.

The room meets all needs, but is not super luxurious. The restaurant with its kitchen staff is really top notch and the wait staff is also excellent. Friendly, knowledgeable and very attentive. In short, a stay in Wildthout Ommen is definitely worth recommending. The stay and culinary delights were a great gift for us

Cozy and customer-friendly family hotel in fantastic surroundings.

In a word, fantastic. Welcoming reception, we really felt welcome. One non-alcoholic cocktail was made for us a la minute. The dishes were perfectly prepared, culinary taste experiences of all dishes. It was a wonderful evening.

Booked a wild weekend, what delicious food, what a variety. Very knowledgeable staff, also very neat and attentive. the chefs were again in top form, every dish was beautiful and the taste was also great. a delicious breakfast, a very nice room and delicious beer from a local brewery.
