I chose to stay in Takaka when I returned from Wharariki beach. There were relatively few reviews online and I was hesitant to return to Nelson. The results were very surprising. Highly recommended.

Nice and clean rooms, helpful staff, amazing location. Everything is no more than 50 m away - the beach, the local shop and two amazing restaurants.

For the second year in a row we chose to stay here when we travelled from Nelson for a football game. The location is fabulous and the stars from the beach at night are amazing. We enjoyed sunrise walks along the beach both mornings. The kitchen and bathrooms were spotless.

This is a very pleasant holiday park, reasonably priced and close to restaurants and plenty of sightseeing. The beach was right on our doorstep and the cabin was just right. With just a little more heating in the cabin the rating would be excellent.

We had a great stay at Top 10 Pohara Beach. The site for our camper van was right on the beach, literally steps away from where we parked. Robin was incredibly friendly and helpful during our stay. He even helped us to book at another Top 10 site for our onwards journey. Fantastic customer service!
