Best Western Okinawa Onna Beach

🚫 The ocean is NOT visible! 🚫 I paid extra for an "Ocean View" room, but as you can see in the photos, there was absolutely no ocean view — only trees blocking the entire view from end to end of the balcony. This was a room that the front desk repeatedly confirmed as an “Ocean View (not Garden View)” before check-in, yet in reality, there was no ocean visible at all. The actual view was completely different from the photos on the website. When I complained, the staff just kept saying: “The pictures are only for reference, and any room facing the ocean direction is considered Ocean View,” and “You could see the ocean before, but now trees have grown — and they don’t belong to the hotel.” In other words, the website photos are outdated. Right now, the ocean is almost completely blocked. *If you’re booking this hotel for the view, do NOT waste your money on the ‘Ocean View’ option.* __________________________ 🚫 바다가 보이지 않습니다! 🚫 추가 요금을 내고 오션뷰를 선택했지만, 발코니 끝에서 끝까지 찍어도 바다는 전혀 보이지 않았습니다. (사진 참고) 프런트에서 여러 번 확인받은 ‘가든뷰가 아닌 오션뷰 객실’이었지만, 실제로는 숲에 가려 바다가 전혀 보이지 않았습니다. 홈페이지의 사진과는 완전히 달랐고, 항의했더니 “이미지는 참고용이며, 창문이 바다 방향이면 모두 오션뷰로 분류된다”, “예전에는 바다가 보였지만 지금은 나무가 자라서 어쩔 수 없다. 나무는 호텔 소유가 아니다.” 라는 답변만 반복했습니다. 즉, 홈페이지 사진은 오래된 이미지입니다. 지금은 바다가 거의 보이지 않으니, **바다 전망을 기대한다면 절대 비싼 요금을 내고 오션뷰를 선택하지 마세요.**

This hotel is motel style kind of resort with private beach, expensive but cheaper than the other similar hotels in the Onna area which are also by the beach. I had a ground floor room so didn't have a view (garden view) but if you stay in the upper levels you should get a view of the ocean and beach. The beach is just a few minute walk behind the hotel, and is a small secluded beach with a little reef and is quite lovely. The rooms are spacious and clean, the decor is dated though. Each room has a patio. You can buy snorkelling gear from the small lobby, and there is a small hotel restaurant which serves decent buffet breakfast. I chose this hotel because of the price and also it is close to Cape Maeda where the blue cave is, but you can also do a little snorkelling at the private beach too. It is more convenient to drive there, but they charge 100 yen a day for parking.

The best choice we could make. Very good place to relax away from crowds and traffic. It’s convenient for transfer from and to the airport. Take a Limusine Bus, it stops a front of hotel, and is cost efficient. Next time I will choose this hotel again

We had a Great Stay at best Western Okinawa. Friendly staff and clean room.

the room is clearn, food is not bad

The hotel is new and well maintained. Nice private beach. The pool is small. Breakfast is good but not excellent. Not too many dinner options around.
