Nous avons eu une expérience assez contrastée pendant notre séjour. S'il est indéniable que ce petit hôtel jouit d'une situation privilégiée au calme dans un jardin et un joli coin de verdure alors que la ville de Ooty est très bruyante, l'accueil suspicieux du gérant a gâché cette belle impression. Ayant des problèmes pour scanner nos passeports il incriminait nos photos trop brillantes et nous a de***dé un tas de papiers à remplir, bref de quoi se sentir accueilli comme un voleur. La chambre était spacieuse mais vieillotte et froide. Bon restaurant.

This historic property needs maintenance. We were the only guests there, as it was rented out for a movie shoot, after we had booked.

Great place to stay, the cottages were clean and airy and the food was good. Deepak and his staff were great and that made our stay a lot more comfortable. The Lymond house is located right near the railway station and the race course. The property was away from the busy city centre and in a very quiet part of town. We would definitely come back to stay here again.

We did not actually stay here. We had a booking which had been in place for some weeks, but about 6 days before we were due to check in, they emailed our agents and cancelled the booking. They declined to give a reason for the cancellation, which is why I have given them a terrible rating. If there is a good reason, that then becomes understandable and acceptable, but not to give a reason is not acceptable. As it stands, I feel badly treated.

This break was much needed & I’m glad, I chose this place… Was away from the hustle & bustle, in the lap of nature!! The staff was always out there, helpful & warm.. trying to make it as comfortable as it gets!! Lymond House is the place that I’d think of, whenever Ooty comes in mind!!

The best place to stay in Ooty. It dates back to 1800s and and is beautifully maintained. The rooms give vintage colonial feel. The lawns are lush green, full of trees and nice barbeque area. We booked the whole place and had great time. The staff is caring. Look forward to our next visit.

We stumbled upon this property by chance. It’s located just 100 mts from the famous Taj, Savoy. We were in Ooty for 7 nights out of which we spent 4 nights in Lymond House and it was the best decision we made. We were fortunate to get one of the suites that had a private garden. While the property dates back to the 1800s, the owners have carefully recreated the place to make it appealing to families, couples and group travellers. Food wise, their lunch and dinner Ala Carte menu is fantastic. The Indian and continental options are both well done. Our favourite dishes were - French Onion Soup, the pasta options, And the Egg Biryani.
