Garden Manor

I chose garden manor as we didn't get a room in our usual hotel. But we weren't disappointed and the service and rooms were super clean and the location was also at a great place, nearby botanical garden. Loved the way the hotel management treated us. Will definitely recommend my friends and family to this hotel.
Hotel Venus

Affordable stay compared to other hotels. It was good. The room was so big and all the objects seen in the pics are there. The bed is exactly looking like the image. But the problem is the hotel urgently requires a renovation. Which means the age of the hotel is evident in the room, floor and also in bathroom. The stay was royal in 30 years ago
Hotel Nahar Nilgiris

Not worth staying because of following reasons- - don’t get hot water. If you like to take the ‘hot water bath’ after coming from travel, you cannot take it as they give hot water for three hours in the evening only - very old hotel and not cleaned at all, bed sheets, rugs are smelly - rude staff - they hung up phone on you, they are not available at reception, they are in wrong hospitality industry or place especially mr. Jei - telephone instruments are not working - hot water also has boiler issues - you don’t get Tv channels and they are unwilling to subscribe any Tv channel (very small Tv in the rooms) - no exhaust in bathrooms and room lead to rooms become so smelly - we ordered extra bed and they don’t have extra folding. They give you hard mattress in name of extra bedding - do not take cab from hotel to see local sight seeing as cabs are again very old and not cleaned with water leaking from car AC - food menu is quite costly from hotel - their is no air conditioner or fan in hotel and we found only early morning and evening was cold in Ooty in April-May - only 1 star given is because hotel is at good location
Golden Larch Comfort

I was given room in golden larch residency backside property though i had booked golden larch comfort. Both are near by only. Room was good and clean. If you are looking for just room and not other services like food, daily housekeeping, toiletries other than soap and towel, go for it. There are 4-5 good restaurants available near by. I stayed 3 days, no housekeeping was provided. Only tea is available as room service.
King's Cliff
4.4/541 Reviews
Firstly, I was given a room in an extension block that seemed to have been built recently. It was modern but lacked the charm and character of a true heritage property. The main building, with its fireplace and historic ambience, was nowhere to be found. This was especially disappointing considering the premium price I paid, comparable to what you'd expect from a 5-star hotel. The lack of attention to detail continued throughout my stay. When I checked in on a rainy day, I had to walk to the extension block without an umbrella despite the muddy road. The staff seemed unbothered by this inconvenience. Additionally, the room didn't have slippers, and the floor was cold, with no heating available (although they did provide a basic room heater when requested). To make matters worse, I had to call the front desk to confirm my room for the second day, which should have been done automatically as part of their standard procedure. This lack of efficiency only added to my frustration. The toiletries were also woefully inadequate, with only basic soap and shampoo provided. Power cuts were frequent, and I had to notify the front desk each time, which seemed like a hassle the hotel should have anticipated. The breakfast buffet was uninspiring and lacked flavour. To make matters worse, I had dinner at their restaurant, which was rated top in Ooty, but my experience was average at best. To add insult to injury, they got our order wrong, substituting Nasi Goreng (fried rice) with Mee Goreng (fried noodles). When I brought this to their attention, they made no effort to compensate for the mistake. In conclusion, Hotel King's Cliff fails to live up to its reputation as a heritage property or even a 2-star hotel. The overpricing and lack of attention to detail make it a poor choice for travellers seeking a comfortable and enjoyable stay in Ooty.
