We visited when it was very hot outside. The room air conditioner does not work unless your room key is inserted in a slot inside the room. When we came back after a day of siteseeing the room was very warm making it difficult to sleep. They also controlled how low the thermostats seas set. You couldn’t go below 24 degrees.

Rooms are small but clean. In order to use beach and outdoor pool there is a fee this is NOT included with the hotel. I was under the impression after ready the amenities this was all included in the hotel since not stated otherwise. Fee to use outdoor pool is 40$ euros with a beach bed and two use the beach chairs it is $14 euros for 2.

Im Zentrum von Opatija direkt am Meer liegt dieses Hotel. Mein Zimmer bot genug Platz, das Badezimmer hätte allerdings ein wenig größer sein können. Toll war die Aussicht vom Balkon auf das Meer. Liegen und Sonnenschirm muss man genauso wie die Garage extra bezahlen. Badetücher gibt es an der Rezeption. Das Frühstücksbuffet war sehr gut und besonders reichhaltig.

It was our third time in Hotel Savoy and as always, we couldn't have chosen a better hotel. The staff is nice and helpful, breakfast is delicious and has a big variety of food (different kinds of ham, cheese, bread, bread rolls, fruit, jam, sausages, eggs, etc.). The beach is clean and isn't crowded. You need to pay for the sunbeds but it's worth it as they're clean and a normal distance from one other so you can have a rest, read a book or take a nap. The water is crystal clear and deep as soon as you get into it. We booked a standard room with partial sea view and a superior room with a sea view. The former one is of course smaller but you don't feel to be in a tin, the view is still beautiful to the sea. The latter one is spacious, light and has an amazing sea view. Both of them are spotless and in a very good condition. There're some loud bars in front of the hotel but thanks to the insulation, you can hear almost nothing at night. I'm a terrible sleeper and could still manage it on the first floor. Thank you Hotel Savoy for making our holiday so nice and peaceful. We'll definitely be back!

Nice small chick hotel near the sea, good breakfast, very good meals at the restaurant entered from the hotel, nice rather small rooms but with balcony opening at wonderful sea view. Beautiful terrace coffe bar

We had a superior double room with a sea view, it was a dream 👍
The hotel is located directly on the beach, but you have to pay extra for the loungers - €30 for comfort loungers at the pool and €10 for the normal ones - unfortunately this is not mentioned anywhere in the hotel description - which is of course a rather negative surprise on site.
Unfortunately the pool wasn't clean either - there were a lot of paper napkins and plastic cups on the pool floor - which was also the case during our time. Not cleaned throughout the entire stay (5 days).
The service in the Vip Lounge was also mediocre for the first two days - two very young men who obviously didn't really have everything under control - the club sandwich that had been ordered and already paid for was suddenly not there, the pasta tuna salad that was ordered came without noodles because these were out... 🙈
Goran was on duty on the last day and he was super accommodating and professional. So it was fun 👍
The hotel's own restaurant, Lungomare, is very good.

A beautiful place, with parking off-site that needs to be paid in addition to the hotel fees. The A/C was not working, which was uncomfortable when the exterior temperatures were above 30º C and humidity about 80%. I am not a typical spoiled American who needs it at 18ºC but I like 27º inside at night to sleep well. Also, opening the french doors with the amazing see view at night was a no-go until past 1:00pm since there were two disco clubs directly below the hotel fighting over their loudness :-)

Hotel is great, perfect location, excellent breakfast, there is no parking, but right in front there is a safe one. The room and bathroom are great, the only thing I didn't like about the room is that there is carpet on the floor, but even so, the room smelled very good!

Stayed for two nights in deluxe seafront room. The view from room is wonderful and swimming off rocks below hotel is lovely. Breakfast is very good with plentiful choices. Rooms are ‘dated elegance’ but spotlessly clean and bed comfortable. Negatives: Wi-Fi is very patchy. Lobby is bland and bar area was always totally deserted. Not very welcoming. Lights were off early in evening so it was obviously not being used much. Beach towels required a deposit in cash -for a hotel with 4 stars these towels should be part of the room supplies. Lounge chair and umbrella 10euros a day. Again should be part of hotel room rate.
