Such a shame….Great rooms and overall appearance but poor guest service, poor communication and mediocre food. Not worth the price

Beautiful location, beautiful property, great service and staff at the restaurant, beach and grounds. We arrived at 3Pm and didn’t get our room until after 4:30 which was definitely disappointing & would have appreciated better communication by the reception - we were told it would be ready soon, we had to ask when it would be ready, and one reply was we will meet you in 5 min and it was over 20 min . Overall besides check in, beautiful!

My girlfriend and I visited Goldeneye for 5 nights and had a truly amazing stay in one of the Beach Huts. Pops drove us from MBJ and he was the best driver and provided a lot of insight, fun facts, and Jamaican fruit/snacks along the 2 hour journey! You have to request Pops to drive you! The property is truly beautiful and never feels crowded. Button Beach is lovely and Donald and O’Marsh in the watersports area helped us with paddleboarding, kayaks, etc. We also enjoyed a nice lunch off the property at Chris’s Cafe which was a delicious authentic meal. Goldeneye had many unique experiences setup for the guests like a Tea Time with a local herbalist, Rasta sunset band, and a Sunset Rum party. These were all awesome experiences included in your stay. Goldeneye also had themed dinner nights like BBQ night with musical entertainment and curry night! The food was really good and we loved eating at Bizot Bar overlooking the ocean. Kaydean (waitress) and Trevor (bartender) were great! Shabeen is an ideal place to watch the sun set and is a fun place for after dinner drinks and reggae/rap music. Glen (bartender) was the man and made us feel like family. Goldeneye is a serene and beautiful place and we enjoyed the paddling in the lagoon and seeing the many majestic sea turtles. The FieldSpa is a must and is very relaxing! We had a fantastic couple’s massage and the staff at the spa were great. Goldeneye is truly a special place and we would heavily recommend it to those interested. The only critique is that it is a little expensive for food/drinks (US city prices) but the quality is there. We definitely want to come back!

Whenever we have been at Goldeneye we always had a good time. We love swimming and snorkeling and even when the weather is not perfect the stay is still relaxing and fun! We loved our Beach Hut with the extra space downstairs to relax and have breakfast in. We can’t wait to be back!

What a special place. Surrounded by nature, beaches , beautiful pools and wonderful helpful and kind staff. We stayed in hut 43. Perfect with balcony over the water and spectacular sunsets. A real Jamaican experience with other guests but never feeling overwhelmed or crowded. The food was delicious and served in such a professional but casual manner. We loved our time there

Selfishly, I almost don't want to leave this review because I don't want to have to compete for reservations on my return trip ... and the one after that ... and the one after that! Because that is how special GoldenEye is - you will be returning for the rest of your life. If you are looking for olympic sized infinity pools with swim-up bars, themed restaurants, water parks, hamburgers and hot dogs on the menus, polished marble lobbies, beach resort rooms that are generically decorated, and a carefully scripted staff, look elsewhere! But if you are seeking a sophisticated, tasteful and discreet experience set upon a generous, uncluttered slice of tropical paradise which wrapped tightly in authenticity and warmth, then you are in the right place. I traveled to GoldenEye with my 13 and 17 year old children. This is a place where the staff knows your kids name and by the time you leave, you have made friends who hug you goodbye. That sounds cheesy, but it is the truth. We always felt like we were in attentive and caring hands. There is no training or handbook for generosity of spirit. Some things can't be faked. Let me tell you what yo won't have to do at GoldenEye - worry about securing beach or pool real estate! No squatters here. And because there are two gorgeous and distinctly different beaches as well as one main pool - not too big and not too small - plus two petite pools, yet 130 total guests at full capacity, there is plenty of space for all without it ever feeling crowded anywhere, including the two restaurants. If you are a music fan or an artist or a creative (I check all three boxes, fwiw) or have those tendencies embedded ideeply within your soul, you will feel at home here. GoldenEye's vibe and aesthetic and energy and aura are unmatched - a chilled out vibe with unique character, stunning beauty, and a strong sense of spiritually nourishing mystique. It is also centrally located to a plethora of nearby sites in and around Ocho Rios if you are able to peel yourself away from the property for excursions to Blue Hole, Dolphin Cove, and Yamaan Adventure Park as we did. And if you do - shhhhh! - here is another secret...request Laurel to be your driver and guide. She was a central part of our experience - a lovely woman with a bottomless heart, infectious smile, and strong backbone. Plus, she is an ace driver who is always careful and attentive - your safety and enjoyment are her priorities rather than speeding while texting etc. Special thanks to GM Fiona, a superstar human being, and Tamara and Shaneil in the front office, as well as Glen, Derek, Anna, and Marlon, among so many other kind staffers. Everything about Goldeneye is effortless and cool

We attended a wedding here, and it was the most incredible experience. I've traveled around the world and have honestly never experienced anything yet like Golden Eye. The property is amazing, and within 24 hours I was in complete relax mode. THE FOOD was all from a local farm and the most fresh I had ever experienced, I couldn't believe how good the snapper was! A highlight for me was massages from Karen and Jackie in the spa. I have suffered with chronic pain for 20+ years, and this was the first time I was able to get trigger point pain resolved. I wish I could take them home in my suitcase, there is no massage that compares! I need to come back for the massages alone, they were healing. We rarely return to the same resort twice and Jamaica was never on our list -- but I will be back, and am counting down the days.

Attended a wedding at this beautiful location. It was wonderful. The food was delicious. The service was great. The employees seemed genuinely happy and easily engaged with guests which was fun. Such a friendly jovial place. Toilet had some issues and water wasn't always hot but that was it complaint wise. We had great swims and sunsets. Forgot to use the tennis courts. Bed was comedy and air conditioning was welcomed and powerful.
