Excellent place to stay, only *******: - kids activities needed better timings before first 18:30 restaurant reservations - random noises from aircon or water fittings on early mornings every day

Spent 7 days here. It is 1 hour 15 minutes to resort. Stopped for 45-50 minutes 1/2 way at a shack for drinks -only bad part / totally unnecessary. Andrew at check in desk was total boss. He was sharp, professional and very welcoming. Food- truly cannot understand complaint about buffet. It was immaculate, food was plentiful, varied, soooooo many choices and super tasty. I have eaten at buffets in Carribean. This is by far the best. **specialty restaurants review about bland and not appealing choices is correct though. I didn’t care for them. Beach is perfection. Clear water 6 feet deep out. Absolute perfection and always abundant chairs. Did not use pools. Housekeeping mostly good however, hit and miss days not swept and no towels. Entertainment every night was wonderful and audience included. Totally worth every penny Awesome resort.

I visited Riu Palace Tropical Bay April 24-30, 2024 for my boyfriend’s birthday and to say the trip and stay was fabulous is an understatement. I requested the room to be decorated for his birthday (which is not a service provided) and the manager Beverly went above and beyond to decorate the room and surprise him upon arrival. The resort was very clean, the food was outstanding and the entertainment was the best I’ve ever seen. Spotlight, who was the entertainment and host, is so magnificent and full of life. All of the staff, even the grounds workers were pleasant and always willing to help. We had a blast and did not want to leave. We will definitely be back!

Everything was great except the bed was very uncomfortable. It was hard as sleeping on the floor. Also if someone wants to pay for someone to decorate a room you should have that service at your location. Other Riu have that as a service I have had it done before!

Hôtel rénové au goût du jour. Le buffet est varié et de grande qualité. Les resto à la carte un peu surfait car il prépare la cuisson d’avance et le met arrive trop cuit. Le vin servis avec le forfait est de piètre qualité. La plage est exceptionnelle. Mais pas de vague pour ceux aime ça ce n’est pas la place c’est presque un bain. Les vendeurs ne monte pas sur la plage. Si vous restez en haut de la ligne fait par les palmier de bord de l’eau vous êtes tranquille. Et si vous êtes intéressé ils vous demandent de descendre près de l’eau. Plage super sécuritaire. Parfaite pour les jeunes enfants ou les amoureux qui se laissent flotter avec un verre à la main.

We had a good week's stay. Overall very nice resort. We love the beach there and have stayed 3 different times. We have stayed at the sister resort down the beach about 7-8 other times as well.

This beach is nothing short of amazing. Staff is also great. The only thing I would change is the dinner reservations. There is only 2 dinner serving times at each restaurant, so it is very hard to get a reservation. Otherwise a great stay
