The Oriana Orange - Retro Hotel & Resort

The Oriana was perfectly located for us. We loved the Peacock restaurant and the bar was so cosy and welcoming. Team on the front desk was helpful and courteous.

recently stayed at The Oriana, Orange and genuinely loved the experience. The vibe is spot on — retro without being kitsch, stylish without trying too hard. It feels curated and considered, but still relaxed. From the moment I arrived, reception was warm and professional. The team were welcoming, efficient and made everything feel easy. The same goes for the pool bar — excellent service, great atmosphere and exactly what you want for a relaxed Orange getaway. The thoughtful touches in the room really stood out: complimentary snacks, soft drinks and fresh fruit are such a generous inclusion. The bedding and towels were excellent quality — comfortable, crisp and properly luxurious. Those details matter. My only feedback relates to the shower. The water pressure was quite poor, and it took a bit of juggling between the hot and cold taps to maintain a consistent temperature. It’s a small maintenance issue rather than a deal breaker, but worth addressing. Overall, it’s a fantastic property with strong service, great energy and real personality. I’ll absolutely be returning — and would happily recommend it to others heading to Orange.

Whilst we had previously eaten at The Oriana on 2 separate occasions, we had never stayed there. Their Christmas in July event was the excuse we were looking for to stay for 3 days. We arrived on Friday and booked into a show in their bar with a singer/songwriter and snacked on bar food with a nice bottle of local Pinot Gris. On Saturday we spent the day wine tasting and lazing around our spacious room before the event, commencing with mulled wine around the fire pits, followed by 3 courses and a bottle of local Pinot Noir in the Peacock Room. The Oriana is well located in Central Orange and they are to be commended on their efforts to put on events to attract locals and visitors alike. We received a warm welcome on arrival and service throughout our stay was exemplary. Highly recommended!!!

We had a lovely stay at Oriana Resort in Orange. The location was excellent, the customer service was wonderful, and our room was clean and comfortable. The only small disappointment was that the complimentary apples left in the room were old and rotten. Aside from that, we had a great experience and would happily stay again.

Dear Espen , Just a quick note to say how much we enjoyed ourselves last Saturday night. The food was lovely and the effort you went to make it work was noticeable and very much appreciated by all. You have a great team . The service was amazingly good and warm and efficient . Could not fault it . We love visiting the Oriana. Best place in town by far and we look forward also to the summer gardens reopening for our usual drinks and nibbles. Booked for 5 nights. On arrival, discovered that we didn't have a bath - our mistake for not checking. Were able to get room upgrade for 4 of the 5 nights which was much appreciated. Had breakfast each morning at the hotel. Great value at $15.00 for continental and $25.00 inclusive of hot a la carte breakfast option. Rooms were very clean and beds super comfortable. The Peacock restaurant is very good. We ate at the restaurant twice. The people are friendly, courteous, professional and very helpful. The rooms have a complimentary mini bar with soft drinks and sparkling water and also complimentary snacks including a night time chocolate for each of us. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend.

Oriana is a brilliant stay. They have thought of every detail to elevate the experience. The restaurant is also fantastic. We will definitely stay when we visit Orange again.

Although the food was tasty, and the steaks we had were tender, there wasn't much finesse with the waitressing service. We were told that this restaurant was a high end experience in Orange, but we found it to be more a pub style quality. While the atmosphere, waitresses, and decor were pleasant, we just thought it lacked polish for the prices they were charging.
