Hotel Canobolas

Room’s a little dim but ample wall points for gadgets , thumbs up for cleanliness and pillows are plenty . Shower hot water was excellent , shower door would hv been great to prevent splash on bathroom floor

It's a very nice but older hotel. Staff was wonderful. I just wish the bar was open later!

Location is excellent. You’re above a pub, we were on 2/F but got woken up in the middle of the night by people yelling on the street.

The pub areas have been done up really nice, it's a beautiful building. But the rooms need a lot of work. Especially the bathroom, flaking paint, holes in the wall where old plumbing pipes once were. Couldn't stay any more than 1 night. Also would have loved to eat there but no listed vegan options.

I rarely review but felt I owed it to others to raise a warning for this place. Worst hotel room I’ve ever had anywhere in the world. The peeling paint on the walls, the exposed pipes all around them, the depressing grey and black paint were bearable but the following were not: 1. Industrial level noise coming from various workings of the hotel, outside and the vibrating window 2. The fridge literally jumped every time it went through a cycle. 3. Obnoxiously loud and cold bathroom fan was unpleasant. But these all dulled in comparison to the last straw. While showering, the shower head flew off across the bathroom, missing my head. The water shooting from the now open pipe 1. saturated all my clothes (no dry ones left to wear) 2. saturated my towel so I had to use a bed sheet to ineffectively dry myself 3. filled my toiletries and make up bags and ruined many valuable items. When I complained and asked for another room I was told by receptionist that “it’s not my fault”, “what can I do about it?”, “it’s not a hotel anyway it’s just a pub”, “can’t change your room, hotel’s full and you wouldn’t like any of our other rooms anyway”, “we’ve called a plumber what else do you want?” They kicked us out saying they’d refund us, which they did. We were very upset and shell shocked. We paid a bit extra to stay at the beautiful, historic, superb Duntryleague Guesthouse in Orange. Ah the peace, beauty and hospitality was heaven after the shockingly unprofessional, unbelievably rude and abusive behaviour of the Hotel Canobolas “receptionist.” Don’t risk staying there. There’s much better value elsewhere in Orange. For similar location but cheaper and with updated rooms and no nonsense, the Parkview Hotel is a smarter and safer option.

We ordered a mushroom pizza that cost $26.This is always our go to pizza. When it was delivered to our table we were shocked. There must have been a maximum of two sliced mushrooms scattered on the pizza. Is there a shortage of mushrooms?? When you order a mushroom pizza it is implied that it will have a decent amount.Predominantly cheese. Not impressed.
