Hilton Garden Inn Jacksonville Orange Park

We had an excellent stay at the Hilton Garden Inn in Orange Park Florida. The staff was very helpful and courteous anytime we talk to them. They did everything they could to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable and the rooms were always tidy and clean. couldn’t have asked for a better stay.

Hotel is pretty new, nice and clean. Staff were nice. Bar and restaurant on site, food was pretty good. Definitely will stay here again

The property was very clean and welcoming. The staff that checked us in was very kind. Room was nice & clean.

Rude front desk staff. I made repeated attempts to call the front desk from the room desk phone to no avail. The only button on the phone that resulted in any sort of “ring” on the other end was marked “housekeeping” & even they never picked up and answered the phone. Nothing else worked. I wanted to request a slightly later checkout time. That’s usually an option for a diamond member & we needed to utilize that option, as my son had fallen ill. So I called the hotel from my cell only to be put on hold immediately. I wait 3 minutes before I hang up and call back several more times only to be put on hold or actually disconnected. So during my last call I decide to walk down to the front desk and the woman is there by herself but with no customer in sight. She appeared to be doing absolutely nothing. I very politely requested a late checkout & she says she can’t allow one. I explain that I’m a diamond member and typically that is an option given to diamond members. She rudely insists she cannot allow a late checkout (mind you I was asking for an 11:30 AM checkout vs the normal 11:00 AM). Definitely a place I will never return to. We were also placed on the 1st floor when I requested a higher floor (it’s in my profile). We checked in very late at night so I just went with it so we could get settled in. The bathroom also had a nauseating smell to it. This hotel definitely does not measure up to typical Hilton standards.

I usually stay at hamptons- mostly for the value and the breakfast. But this garden inn happened to be cheaper than the Hampton immediately next door. Rooms were clean and beds comfortable. But I’ve yet to truly understand the brand marketing between the two types of hiltons- except that garden inn usually charges more with NO FREE breakfast. That said, I would stay here again if the price was $30 less than next door.

Not terrible but not good. Elevator down. In my 65 years of traveling I have never been asked to come to desk at midnight for an extra blanket. For “your comfort” room service only comes every other day. No, it’s for the hotel’s comfort. Lastly, check your towels, we found a big, black wad of hair folded into a towel. Complementary coffe in morning, horrid. Besides that, it was ok

TV would not work properly in TV was not able to connect to the internet to receive shows, guide, extra stations which were advertised. Need to remember to ask not to be put at the end of a long hall - seems to always have trouble connecting to internet on my phone. But every one was extremely nice and couldn't be more accommodating regarding everything but what they could not control.
