Oranmore was one of our last stops on our 7 day road trip around southern Ireland and, to be honest, we didn't have huge expectations based on some of the earlier trip experiences (eg value for money) ........... but this place really was the gem of our trip. When I booked this place there was the option to book 'the apar**ent' and, as it was pretty much our last proper night, I decided to treat us. Upon arrival at this immaculate property we were greeted by Michael who owned and ran Oranhill Lodge with his wife Ann. Michael was brilliant giving us some tips for the local watering holes in the village, and he did an excellent handover of the apar**ent. The place is modern, very well appointed and immaculate. It was also very peaceful, the only noise was the birds chirping in the morning. After a great night in the village pubs (only a 5 minute walk) we slept perfectly and went across to the main house for breakfast. Everything had been thought about and breakfast was fab. Everyone seemed to turn up for breakfast at the same time but Michael and Ann had it all under control. To summarise, this was easily our favourite place on our 7 day road trip and Michael & Ann are both wonderful, friendly, and well organised hosts.
