The room while a bit dated was clean and tidy, except for some stains on the floor around the toilet.. I am not a fan of a plastic curtin around the bath as it can harbour bacteria ...bath was small but adequate...shower was only warm next morning...I don't like a firm mattress so therefore my sleeping was difficult.. lunch and evening meal was nice and good value...dining staff were excellent... however the cooked breakfast was a disappointment...could do better ...introducing a Buffett with cheeses and cold meats etc etc would be a good idea. Leisure club was clean ...pool was warm... sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi were all working well ..staff friendly and efficient...the atmosphere around reception was cold and could do with being less formal .Overall it was an enjoyable stay....but lots of choices out there.

Ireland is renowned for its wonderful hospitality and Oranhill Lodge is a prime example of that. I don't think that I have ever felt more of a 'Home from home' experience in all my travels. The hosts Michael, Ann and their daughter Ciara create a warm and welcoming atmosphere to relax in. The room was quiet and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was special and really something to behold. If you are looking for a clean, friendly and peaceful place to stay during your break in the area you would be hard pressed to find something better than Oranhill Lodge. Thank you for such a memorable weekend and I look forward to seeing you again in future trips.

I would not recommend staying here if at all possible. One it is unclean and two the staff is less then helpful. There were multiple hairs found in one bed, the bathroom sink was dirty, the shower is unusable, and the trash can had trash in it. When the staff was called they came and took photos and didn’t say much else. I am staying with 4 other girls and we had two rooms. There was only one new available room to offer and it was only a double. So they brought us clean sheets so we could change the bed ourselves. If at all possible stay somewhere else.

Very disappointed stay. When we arrived our room was still dirty - the bathroom sink was dirty, there were hairs on all of the bedding, the floors were dirty, and in another room (of another person in our party) had trash left in the room. The pictures shown on their website are very misleading for how the hotel really is. The pictures portray a cute/vintage feel - when in reality the feeling is “run down”, outdated and dirty. Even after letting management aware of the issues, there was no accountability and basically given a “shrug of the shoulders”. It becomes impossible to feel relaxed or comfortable to wind down when nothing feels clean. Happy we are only here for one night - would 100% change hotels if we were here any longer.

Lovely quiet hotel. Spotless clean and very lovely Receptionist Oceane. She smiled and gave very warm welcome on our arrival which was lacking in my opinion from some staff as I didn't see staff smiling for most of our stay however they where helpful and polite when assistance was needed. Food fabulous and drinks where fair. The young lads in the dining room where very accommodating, I would stay again as the stay and eat deal was extremelyreasonable. Its a bit outside the city taxi cost €20 . Overall lovely stay. Room called Willow Suite was huge!!! And very quiet, bed amazingly comfortable

Just home from another lovely stay in the Oranmore Lodge. Clean and comfortable rooms. Very helpful and friendly staff. Hotel is quite and it’s a superb location. Room rates are excellent value. Rooms cleaned and tidied each day. It’s an old style hotel and has loads of character. Only downside in rooms is the temperature of the hot water - scalding. Someone will get hurt and lodge a big claim. Breakfast provides a wide choice and the food is lovely. Just be careful of the plates for cooked breakfast - so hot each morning you’d get 3rd degree burns. Dinner was nice but way over priced for what we got. We ate there on the first night but it was much better quality and value in the village. Again staff in bar and restaurant are really professional and helpful. The leisure centre and pool is great. Really clean pool and nice temperature. Quiet and relaxed. Changing rooms are in serious need of an upgrade. Too small with not enough seating or lockers and really needs a deep clean. The leisure centre is separate from the hotel but that’s not an issue really. This is our third family stay here. We really like it. We will return again. Really recommend it for any family.

It was not a great experience. We were booked in for the night, a family of 2 adults and 2 kids. We had dinner and all was very nice and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We went to bed and then the trouble started. Our baby fell asleep after a while, and our 8 year old was unable to get comfortable. The 2 adults went to bed and couldn't sleep at all as the beds were very hard it was like sleeping on the floor, and the pillows weren't much better. I went down to the night porter, and he brought me to another room to see what it was like, but it was the same as the one we were in. Then we decided to leave and go home as we couldn't stay in the beds. I spoke to the porter and he said he couldn't do anything with the bill and he said that the hotel would call you tomorrow and go through the bill and come to some agreement on a refund or something as there was something owed from our dinner. We left and went home, which was over 1 hour drive. The next day, nobody had called, and when I checked my online banking, I could see that the hotel had taken money from my account and without any phone call. I phoned the hotel and the girl on reception said she would get the manager to call me and at the time of writing I still have received no call or any form of contact from the Oranmore lodge hotel. So in all a lovely meal but shocking beds and shocking back customer service from the management
