This hotel is large and modern with fantastic views over Korcula Town. It is set beside a stony beach, but when we were there, the town had registered that the water was polluted by bacteria, so we were advised not to swim. Really disappointing for a beach front location. However, on the 2nd day after seeing people swimming, we decided to go ahead and swim, although none of us put our heads below the water. Also annoyingly, the swimming pool, which looked fantastic, was also seawater and that was closed too. I was confused because they drained it to clean it but once refilled, it was still closed! I would have thought with a pool you could add chemicals to sanitise it? Anyway the result was that the pool was closed the entire 3 days we were there. Also, a word of caution on the rooms - our description said ”sea side” view. And we thought that that was a view of the seafront, but actually it was a SIDE sea view, mainly overlooking trees and bare earth. However, when we spoke to the lovely receptionist and said it was not what we had expected, she immediately moved us to better rooms with full sea view overlooking Korcula Town at no extra charge. Her customer service was exemplary. Breakfast was great but there were queues for the coffee machine so it would be better if they served coffee and tea at the table. Everything else in the hotel was really lovely, just can't give it 5 stars.

Overall we had a lovely family holiday here, primarily because of the location. The resort is right on the beach and the whole cove area is just beautiful - although you have to walk quite far along before the excessively loud music from the pool starts to fade! The water taxi system into the old town is great (although at €9 each way for family of 4 this did add up - it’s rather a long, hot walk with kids.) We also did the day ticket hop-on hop-off taxi to 3 different islands and we loved this. The islands are just stunning and we loved the snorkelling. The hotel itself though is rather average. Our room was quite large and clean and the cleaning team were friendly and attentive. No issues there. The pool area is far too small for a hotel of this size - it was just too busy to be relaxing and as I said, the music was just so loud! It also got rather dirty as the day went on, I guess from people coming in and out of the forested camping area. Long waits for drinks at the pool bar, as others have commented. We were half board and chose to eat out most evenings - the restaurant was disappointing. Not enough labelling of food and generally quite plain and uninteresting - our kids really liked it though! Again, it was just incredibly busy with long queues for the coffee machines and too many people scrambling to pile their plates with enough food to take away for the day. This was irritating at breakfast with people quite openly wrapping up a dozen croissants in napkins and popping them in their bags, so there were none left for people actually getting breakfast. We found the service friendly however, and not as slow as others have commented - we liked the local wine although it would’ve been nice to be able to take the bottle with us to the bar to continue our evening, as the restaurant itself was not at all relaxing! We liked the beach bar in the evening to have a drink and play cards, service there was good and our kids loved the mini-disco. We would return to Korcula again - it’s a great place to holiday with kids, the old town is spectacular and full of lovely restaurants and bars and things to see/do, but we would probably choose different accommodation next time.
