Enjoyed my visit, usually select this hotel for mini trips and vacation -Clean room -Friendly staff -decent breakfast, fresh waffles and hard boiled eggs ( no hot water for tea) -Ocean front with balcony -Clean large pool -Music always playing by pool -Hottub and kiddy pool -Quiet

Ocean front nice location thats it rest nothing… Very old building not renovated long years bugs and cockroaches all around in the room, breakfast; Some bananas of you have lucky waffles fruit conservatives, boiled eggs and stale cinnamon cake nothing more, Staff nice and smiling trying to best under this circumstances. Rates are reasonable best choice around with this rates.

There was no parking hardly. The pillows smelled like old cat urine. The sheets had old stains like blood on it. The room had a musky smell to it.

Best value for what you get in Ormund/Daytona Beach area for an oceanfront room. Having the kitchenette is a huge plus as well. The only drawback is the rooms don't seem to have been deep cleaned in a while. This is becoming more and more common these days though, as cleaners and maintenance workers are few and far between.

Beutiful ocean view room. Good place to rest ormond beach is a quiet place to stay in family. Makai it's a best option to stay.

We checked in tonroom 420 for a kitchenette. Immediately noticed there was no power in the room. Nothing worked. No kitchenette. Gentleman came to see anout the kitchenette and it turns out the room beside us had taken it over. No big deal i guess but now we gave no power. Got the last room available which was a double standard room. No a/c. We had to deal with 2 uncomfortable nights of sleep in beds that were previously slept in. There was sand in the sheets still. Im waiting to hear from the manager still because there was not one on site all weekend. Could have been worse. But ill wait to see what the manager offers. Weve stayed here 5 times in the last 2 years and this trip was less than stellar.

Property is in the process of becoming big renovated. Only downside Pool and Jacuzzi have already been updated and both were fantastic.

The customer service is excellent but this motel has definitely seen better days. The shower didn’t work, the room wasn’t clean, there was a huge brown stain in the tub. The grounds are dirty, although I did see someone sweeping up and cleaning as best as he could. The pool was immaculate! The elevator was dirty and scary. To me, it was not worth the money. I’d rather pay a little more for cleanliness.

It's an older place that looks like it's in the process of renovation. It served it's purpose as a place to sleep when I need a place at the last minute when I had a vrbo cancel on me at the last minute. The floors needed a vacuum underneath the table and bed and the floor mopped before we checked in.

We liked the Atlantic ocean view from the property pool side was great! The pool water warm. Excellent beach front sand. If you are a surfer, great spot. Guarded and secure- life guard and plane alerts were seen when rip tides occurred. The property main building is being rennervated, and we hope that when we return next year, there would be vast improvement in cleaning the rooms, and the exterior/ interior of the building. It is located in a great area.

It looks run down outside but for the price, ocean front rooms & pool, it’s a nice place. Never have issues, they always fix anything wrong immediately. Check in is even easier now online and check out. It’s quiet & peaceful, as many judge upon the looks. We’ve been here several times and love it!

Oh where to start… first pulling up we thought this is not our hotel, very old, run down, just looks like it lacking alot of maintenance and tlc. Checking in was great, staff super friendly and no issues. Then we experienced our room… no air conditioning for day 1 had to move us to another room for our 2nd night, there was mold inside the ac unit, it smelled clean but everything was dingy or stained, rusted lamps on the bottom, side chairs stained, bathroom… so many things, just gross! Very large dead bug as we entered also! Lock on door to the patio was not only broke but you could see outside from the hole. It was directly on the beach but parking is allowed in front of hotel so you have everyone coming up from the beach to jump in the pool. Pool chairs were nice but lacking many. Pool was clean. Parking wasn’t bad. Lots of mischief at nite, and the smell of **** is constant everywhere all day/night. Which wasn’t bad compared to a lot of things lol Price was good, would I stay again NO!!!! It felt unsafe and unsanitary overall. Not enough good to out weigh the endless amounts of bad, I’m not sure how they even pass inspection, yes that bad!!!
