Excellent location with a fantastic and abundant breakfast. The restaurant's decor is quite interesting too. Being right next to the train station, it's lively outside the window during breakfast, which is particularly pleasant on a nice day!

Good strategic location . Despite we arrive late, the hotel receptionist are very welcoming and friendly.
Room is a bit small can’t open 2 luggage bag fully . Bed is too soft , not really good for spine support. Other than this overall is good. Breakfast also very good.

Unbeatable location, in a shopping centre which connects to the train station. Room is clean but only basic amenities are provided. Overall a good stay.

This hotel is conveniently located within a shopping complex that connects directly to the train station, offering a wide variety of dining options. The complimentary luggage storage was incredibly helpful, especially since we were traveling by train to explore the Norwegian fjords. The staff at the front desk were exceptionally warm, friendly, polite, and eager to assist, providing us with a lot of help. Our room was clean and tidy, and the breakfast spread was extensive. The restaurant ambiance was cozy and made for great photos. Highly recommend for travelers! 👍👍

I recommend booking with breakfast included; there's a great variety and the food tastes authentic. The breakfast restaurant itself is charmingly designed like an old train car. Plus, the hotel's location is super convenient, with the subway and train station right outside, and the city center just across the street.

Good, clean room, albeit a little small. Great location, close to transit and plenty of sights within walking distance. Friendly desk staff, check-in was a breeze.
A little disappointed with no bath mat or tissues in the room.

I stayed in the Junior Suite at Scandic Byporten and had an excellent experience. The location is perfect — directly connected to Oslo Central Station, which makes traveling around the city and to the airport incredibly convenient.
The suite was spacious, modern, and very comfortable. I especially appreciated the large windows with great city views and the cozy seating area, which made the room feel more like a small apartment than a hotel. Everything was spotless and well-maintained.
The staff were professional, welcoming, and efficient. Breakfast was another highlight — a wide variety of fresh and tasty options, including local specialties.
Overall, my stay was smooth and relaxing. The Junior Suite is definitely worth it if you want extra comfort and space in the heart of Oslo. Highly recommended!

Truly appreciate the option for early check in at a small fee, especially after taking a night train and arriving in Oslo way too early for the day. Hotel is perfectly located beside the central train station, and it only takes 5min to walk to and fro each other, via the connected mall. That definitely helps when Storm Amy hit. The room was clean and quiet, with basic amenities. Breakfast was alright - it did definitely get too crowded late in the morning. Overall, would highly recommend.
