Loved this art deco hotel’

Just amazing!

The location was near the tram and train station. The city is rather walkable during winter too. The hotel gave a very art deco feel, breakfast was very good.

Decor is excellent and the theme of the rooms is cohesive and smart. Excellent gym but pool was an additional cost, unless you have a suite. This was a disappointment and gives the place a cheap feeling.  There were lots of additional events being held at the hotel which gave the place a noisy and overly busy feel. Often large groups of party goers waiting for lifts at night. Corridors are also quite busy and noisy. There is a feel that hotel guests are a necessary afterthought when these events are held. Staff ranged from very nice to indifferent and sometimes even disdainful.  Overall I wouldn’t describe this hotel as peaceful or a place that makes you feel at ease.

A beautiful room but experienced a number of disappointments. Hotel guests must pay a supplement daily charge to use the swimming pools AND book at designated time slot. I have NEVER experienced this at any hotel anywhere in the world. I was in a premium room, but this policy applies to all guests, which I think is awful. It was also impossible to get a spa appointment during my stay. Zero preference given to hotel guests. I strongly suggest you book spa treatments at least a week in advance of your arrival. Also, there is no turndown service, unusual for a highly priced 5* hotel. Housekeeping also finishes very early, or isn’t interested in guests who don’t align with their schedule. I had to work in my room but left at 2:45pm and it was not cleaned despite signalling the room needed making up. The reception team were polite, but chaotic. Generally, the hotel restaurants seem more focused on catering to outside guests, which is a shame.

The stay was nice

I stayed at Sommerro for four nights from January 8th to 11th, 2026. The hotel has a retro-elegant design style with a charming old-fashioned feel. The quality and atmosphere were exactly to my liking, and the attention to detail in the public spaces was evident. Dining options are very convenient. The hotel itself has several restaurants and bars, offering a good dining experience without having to go far in the evenings. If you want to go out, there are also many restaurants nearby, making it a convenient location. The location is also a plus. It's about a 5-minute walk from the airport line, and several light rail lines are near the hotel entrance, making travel very convenient. If you're looking to explore Oslo's city center in depth, this is a good base station. Overall, the price-performance ratio is reasonable.

The hotel is so beautiful. Really so beautiful. The architecture, furniture and lighting design are all exquisite. Art deco style of 1931 Smart elevator control and high-tech lighting control of 2024 The guy at the door is too handsome. The hotel service is very good The best hotel in Oslo, very cost-effective, very worth staying The tak Japanese restaurant upstairs overlooks the whole city. Very beautiful hotel! In the city center, it was the happiest day in Norway! The room decoration is very retro and environmentally friendly. I didn't bring slippers, and the slippers she gave me were not disposable. The bath products are byredo, which smells great! There is also a speaker in the room, which makes me feel like I'm back home. Because I left too early, I didn't enjoy breakfast. The hotel helped me pack two large breakfast bags at 5:30. It was very rich, but the taste was not familiar to me.

The whole hotel is very beautiful, it has been renovated to give it a retro feel, and it is very clean. However, the room is very small. Two people can only sit on the bed and the chair at the end of the room. It will be very crowded, and the suitcase cannot be opened if it is large.

First class hotel, historic building, great breakfast

Very tasteful hotel, very beautiful, a very good veritable design hotel, exquisite decoration. Advanced facilities, very clean, first-class environment, good service.

The decoration style is what I like, very satisfied, the breakfast is also delicious
