Had this hotel booked then nearly cancelled it after reading reviews and seeing it was rated 5 out of 5 in the town. Decided to stick with our booking as it was the only pet-free hotel we could find. As it was, the hotel was fine. Friendly staff, free parking. Our room was large with a separate lounge, dining table, microwave, coffee machine, full size fridge freezer and cooker - facilities we did not use on our one night stay. Our room had a balcony overlooking the lake, although we were surprised that this was not private and could, if anyone so desired, be accessed by others. Naively, we did not anticipate the level of mosquito activity in May so did not use the balcony, which was a shame as this would have been lovely to sit on and enjoy the view.
