Lots of rubbish in the grounds of the lodges which was unsightly. Also there were several area where bins for the hotel were not hidden and could be seen from our window.
The whole park could do with a revamp and tidy up

The family room was spacious and clean but the decor was dated. The spa area was also quite dated in appearance but the staff were pleasant and well greeted which left a positive impression

It’s a bit run down (although it’s better than it used to be) if you get it for a decent price it’s ok for a night or two but wouldn’t pay over £80pn. The rooms in the hotel are a bit better than the cabins. The spa needs a facelift.

We got put in a very small double bedroom (standard double) but there was barely any room to move about, even the bathroom was tiny. I went and spoke to the manager who was lovely and upgraded us to the executive suite (honeymoon) no extra charge as it was my partners birthday. Absolutely amazing !!

Mixed thoughts first room was like a postage stamp and heating stuck on full staff I dealt with all friendly next room was better but unfortunately near the veranda where the wedding was taking place result no sleep until 1 am walked around the grounds turn right after reception spotted lots of rats in and around the bin area some running towards hotel delivery area that also looked a mess breakfast was served like warm and was obviously just reheated and not of great quality reviews are intended to be read by potential customers and hotel owners hotel needs pest control asap and a good clean tip try not to book whilst a large wedding in process wedding party where no problem and I wish the happy couple all the best certainly not worth the price ! Would I stay there if you actually paid me sadly not such a shame

Came to Chevin today for an overnight stay with my mum for a little girls spa night away. We were very impressed by the beautiful surroundings of the hotel/spa, it’s truly stunning. We were greeted very warmly and given a map of the site and everything booked in for our stay which made it very easy and efficient. We got to our room, we love the log cabin feel to it, it almost feels like centre parcs. Our twin room was nice and spacious, very clean and good size modern bathroom. Only think we could’ve asked for was a mini fridge in the room as we had brought our own drinks. We had our spa/gym package in the evening, the gym is small but no one else was in it which made it easier. I can imagine at peak times it may be difficult to get in due to limited space/equipment. The indoor pool is great, good size and was quiet so had a good time. We booked our tea for 8pm, was greeted very warmly by the staff in the resteraunt, which has a beautiful setting/view over the lake. Lots of wildlife to see if you are into that whilst you’re eating. Our food was beautiful, we were very impressed. Frankie & Marek were great waiters and looked after us well, kept the place nice and clean and served with a smile. We would definitely return!

I arrived for a massage and facial yesterday before our Twilight Spa session and we couldn't fault our experience. The manager was incredibly welcoming and couldn't do enough to make us feel at home. I've had a few treatments but the facial was by far the best one I've had. Very friendly staff and such a lovely calming experience. We will definitely be back.

The worst hotel I’ve been to probably ever for the price. They focussed only on the weddings happening and were obviously understaffed. The rooms were dirty and not serviced. The bathroom was 1970 roughly. We hated everything about it. We couldn’t get into the bar as the wedding guests were everywhere. No wifi in the rooms. Spa old fashioned. Breakfast not included. I might have accepted for £50 a night but not £200!
