Worst hotel ever!!!! Don’t stay here! I booked a group of rooms for my business and they overcharged me by $400.00. During the time the manager promised to refund my money but never did then he quit. The new manager is horrible!! I have had to call repeatedly to talk to her and she has never made it right. I am planning to get an attorney so other people won’t be ripped off. Plus the rooms were disgusting and dirty!!! Never again!

The staff at this hotel literally saved my husband's life. He drove to Durand solo from Florida and got ill shortly arrival. Jillian, the housekeeper, noticed that he was ill and o brought him dinner. Carlos, the manager, saw him staggering in the hall and kept watch on him until he was convinced that medical attention was required at which point he phoned an ambulance. The doctors said my husband would most like have died within a few hours without medical intervention. When I arrived, the staff were so solicitous and helpful. They made sure his vehicle was in a safe place, that my stay was comfortable and they even arranged to have someone pick me up at the Flint Airport when I flew back the following week to drive my husband's car back to FL. Jen, the general manager was amazing. Yes, the rooms are a little outdated but extremely clean and the beds are very comfortable. The staff is wonderful & I'll always stay there when I visit.

I found this hotel to be right off exit i 69 highway which was very easy getting to it and getting back on the highway the next morning. All the staff i encountered were very pleasant in the hallways, front desk and breakfast. Everything was good

Are stay was unexpectable!! Wifi out!! My wife was extremely dissatisfied!! Would have asked for a refund but my wife and I had to get home,without any further issues!! Don't recommend staying there!! They need improvements!!

Just arrived back home from staying here for 2 nights. Went to open the dresser drawer to put clothes away and there was a tied up bag of trash! A liquid had leaked all over the drawer, and stunk! I would say our room was probably not cleaned to well upon our arrival, the drawer wasn't even opened! Had a half a roll of toilet paper and 1 towel each. When we turned on the air conditioning, it had an overwhelming smell of piss. Couldn't use it. Didn't feel very safe as the side entrance was not secured, anyone could just walk in. As far as the breakfast, what a joke. Staff was rude and not helpful at all. Wanted to stand outside and smoke. Sorry to say, we won't be back!!

I had specifically reserved a first floor room as I am temporarily handicapped. I had also reserved a room with two beds. When we arrived I was told that I was getting a room on second floor with one bed. And that they were booked and nothing else was available. I insisted that the desk clerk all the owner, and it was decided to move someone (not yet checked in) to the second floor. My sister’s reservation/confirmation was for three adjacent rooms on first flor, but upon arriving she was told only one first floor room was available, with the other two on the second floor. My niece arrived to find that her reservation, made through ***********, was non-existent! There was a sign in each room about not taking towels, etc., but when our room was cleaned, the dirty towels were not replaced! Also the washcloths looked like they had been used for cleaning cloths.. they were grey! The breakfast was ok. Pretty standard for this type hotel. I would not recommend but it is the only place close to Bancroft where event was taking place. Next time I think I will drive further and stay somewhere else.

Stayed here on a solo trip for three nights. On the plus side, the room was clean and nicely stocked with towels, toiletries, etc. Fan/cooling worked well. Phone was unplugged, good thing I had a cell. Never did try the wi-fi. Refrigerator ran cold - water bottles started to freeze overnight. Breakfast was actually pretty good - liked the eggs and waffles. Desk clerk was polite and I was checked in without issues. On the minus side - back door was not locked, made me feel a bit unsafe. The pool is closed, has been since covid, I wish that it would be taken out of the listing. It wasn't a deal breaker for me but they've had plenty of time to update the listing. Third day - returned to find my key card not working, and indeed all the locks were not working. Had to wait until my door was reprogrammed to get in to my room. Overall my stay was pleasant, but not outstanding. Would I return? Maybe.

This building is in need of repairs, cleaning and upkeep. Some of the issues include no pool. Apparently, it has been closed for a couple years due to falling ceiling. However, we were not told when the room was booked, and it is still listed. as an amenity. The room phones were disconnected, and cables taken so were just sitting on the end table so you could not call the desk. We were given a second room, but it had all the same problems, one major issue being neither room doors would lock. From the sounds of door rattling, it would appear others had the same issue. One of our soaps had been opened and appeared to have been used. Breakfast was scarce and not much available when needed.

I tried to check into this hotel at 1 pm on Saturday, March 19. The desk clerk (dark hair and stocky build) was in the parking lot. She was not doing anything wrong except being curt and rude. She was standing with her girlfriend who was smoking cigarettes and her boyfriend who was vaping. Rudely, she told me no check in before 3 pm. I ask if I could fill out the registration and she rudely said no. She has no interest in guest who are members of Choice Privileges. Just a rude person with her smoking and vaping friends who did not care about guests. I did check in about 5 pm and a nice desk clerk Justice was on duty. With the hotel not providing breaking and the Vaping Club, I would never stay again at this dump.
