Dreary, musty, old. We visited in May and the room we were in was unbearably hot and humid and the air conditioner does not work. Also the air conditioner was very very loud. Opening the windows doesn’t help either. The corridors smell musty like they are from last century and hasn’t been cleaned. More a pub like smell than a hotel. Water stains are everywhere on the walls and doors. All the furniture is old and stained. The shower was a measly trickle with absolutely no water pressure at all. Sad. Location is very good. Centrally located minutes away from all attractions. Overall a pretty dreary stay for what you pay. Probably the worst hotel we’ve ever stayed in. Do not recommend.

My stay is horrible. We arrived at the hotel at 11am and they told us the room is only ready after 2:30pm which makes sense. We returned to the hotel at 2:30pm and checked in. The room is located at third floor which the elevator could only reach second floor and we needed to carry all the luggages to took the staircases to the room. The room is so small and dirty, and we realised the AC doesn’t work, so we called the reception and they told us that the AC went down but they didn’t tell us when we arrived at 11am, that’s really unreasonable. If you opened the window it’s so noisy outside, we are here for our friend’s wedding but the room just couldn’t fit anything or provides enough space for changing. With this bad condition, we decided to switch to another hotel, asked for refund but they didn’t allow. I wouldn’t recommended anyone to stay here.

The location of the hotel is very central. The staff were friendly and generally helpful. The issues were that the air conditioning system was not good and the room was quite warm at times (summer). Also, access to the hotel was by a very short but steep set of stairs, so carrying large, heavy bags was challenging and clearly nt suitable for wheelchair access.

Very convenient location next to the City Center and to my daughter’s school location. Hotel staff offered good service to arrange taxi. Nice cosy room with the view.

The Location of the hotel is perfect for sight seeing and exploring Oxford you can easily get to most of the main attractions in less then a 5 mins walk. We stayed for 2 nights and only opted for the breakfast once personally I wouldn’t bother it was bad. Head to the covered market instead

Great location for Oxford city centre. It’s supposed to be an Accor Group hotel but they didn’t know how to add points to my account. Also apparently bedroom slippers are only provided to “premium customers”, pretty disappointing considering I was a full paying hotel guest.

Room #904. Parking was provided (limited availability, but no problem if you check in early). Nice room, but noisy bunch of young people partying below us that evening and night, but I appreciate that can't be helped while the May VIII's are racing on the river (Bumps). We had some friends join us for supper in "Keepers' restaurant and bar and were repeatedly hurried by the waitress to get our order in before 8:40pm "because 9pm is when the chef goes home". Well it didn't need a 'chef' truly, but the food was acceptable and reasonably priced at £120 for 4 including drinks. No chance of pud though, unless you had ordered it before the watershed. We had bought our own birthday cake, so we had that instead. I can't think of any other European countries where this would happen... We asked if we could leave our car in situ for a few hours after we checked out the following morning and we were accommodated with grace, which was very kind. A well-situated establishment, we paid £150 for the night for a double room in the new block.

This is my second time staying at the hotel. This time the hotel upgraded the front desk and the room for me. I still like the atmosphere here, the excellent location, the quiet environment, the elegant service, some facilities need to be upgraded, especially the air conditioner and bedding, but overall it is still worth staying. The hotel provides mineral water and cola drinks. Slippers can be asked for at the front desk.

Located in the center of Oxford, it is convenient to visit Oxford on foot, but it is a little far from the train station, which takes 30 minutes to walk. The room and bathroom are spacious and clean, the window can be opened, and there is a wind tunnel outside the window, without any scenery and it is very dirty; there is a small refrigerator in the room, in addition to a kettle, a hair dryer, a safe, etc., free luggage storage, and good WiFi.

Very old building, no elevator in the whole building! Need luggage porter service. There is someone at the front desk but they don't answer the phone. The room is dusty and the sanitary conditions are poor. The air conditioner switch is not working and the noise is loud. Except for the location advantage, there is really nothing else to recommend

It is very close to St. Mary's Church, and the service is relatively attentive. You can hear the church bells and it has a different feeling. Convenient to travel, beautiful environment, convenient to various scenic spots
