1905 Basin Park Hotel

The shuttle service was spot on and our room was adorable with a queen sized bed, dresser, comfortable chair, coffee maker, fridge and hair dryer. We loved exploring the hotel and the game room but wished the foosball table was in better condition. The hotel is located in the heart of town and it is the biggest structure so no missing it! We had a lovely stay in Eureka and having a nice room to return to each day created a safe space to unwind

From the time we walked in the lobby I found the Basin Park Hotel and it's staff to be wonderful. Now bear in mind it is an older hotel and is marketed so. We arrived before noon and luckily our room was ready and we had an early check in. Room was very nice and being really hot outside the air worked great. Had lunch at their Balcony Restaurant and it was really good as was the service. You park at a lot a few blocks away but their shuttle service was always timely and the driver very friendly. We also took advantage of their onsite spa for a couples massage and that was also a good experience. Hotel is located in the middle of downtown near lots of shops and restaurants. Highly recommend.

First of all, this is an OLD hotel. Like the rest of the town, everything is OLD. That said, it is not a bad hotel. The staff was amazing. From the front desk attendants to the bar/dining staff to the cleaning staff, the service was amazing. I always try to book directly through the hotel...but that was not a wise move. We received an amazing deal through *******. The price was 1/2 of booking through the hotel directly. We booked 2 rooms and loved being across the hall from each other. The rooms were cozy, but old. Dim lighting and interesting plumbing situations. The floors are creaky, which falls in line with the mood of the old hotel. Beds, bedding, sheets, towels were totally fine. The hotel restaurant was very good as was the game room. I had a great time with my almost-adult children in the game room. The location is absolutely perfect! Being right in the middle of Eureka is fantastic. We could walk everywhere and if needed, the hotel had a shuttle available at all times. We had amazing dining experiences at the suggestion of the hotel staff . Overall, we had a fantastic stay at a fun hotel which is located in the best place in Eureka!

This hotel is reminiscent of days long gone by, but with the necessary modern amenities. The king suite is huge. The bed was comfortable. It was very hot outside, but the two a/c window units kept the room plenty cool (along with two ceiling fans). The shower had hot water and plenty of pressure. The bathroom has very little shelf space. The hotel has been renovated, but without being too modernized. The character and atmosphere remain…uneven and squeaky floors, old furniture, old carpet, sort of dark and dingy (but in a good way, not dirty) while at the same time having a good shower, a comfortable bed, a coffee maker, refrigerator and microwave. The shuttle service is great. The continental breakfast was good and delivered to our room exactly on time each morning. The walking tour was interesting and the guide was exceptional. The convenience of an on-site restaurant and bars was appreciated. My only complaint is that I am not a fan of their pricing model. A resort fee is added to the published base room rate and gratuities are automatically added to all restaurant, bar, and room charges… with opportunities to add more tips. I see that as a marketing tactic (unappreciated) to make prices appear lower than they actually are. While I was aware of those additional charges (and willing to pay them) it would be easy for someone to perceive prices to be lower than they actually are (which I think is the idea). I would stay there again and I would recommend the hotel to friends (with the caveat to be aware of the resort fee and the automatically added gratuities).

Everything was great! The paranormal investigation they offer is more of a tour of the hotel’s ******* places than an actual investigation. Not bad - just expected something different.

Staff was great, very friendly and helpful. Building was old of course so did have some quirks!

Old historical hotel feel was amazing ! Wish breakfast was included, Do not visit the pretzel shop tied to this hotel the owner is awful and will kick you out and refuse service for ridiculous reasoning !

Overall a great experience, poor experience at Whiskey Bar but everyone else was great!

The Basil is a wonderful place to stay. The staff are so helpful and there are so many things to do within walking distance. We availability allows we will always stay at The Basin Park Hotel.
