The rooms are very expensive -- and we were there somewhat off-season. The one we were in had been updated. Nice floors. Towels are OK, but not lush. The bed was comfortable, and we appreciated the extra pillows. The comforter was the perfect weight. There were plenty of drawers for putting stuff away. TV selection is quite limited and does not provide a way to stream. Cell reception was iffy, but we could get it if we were near the window. There was a USB power block in the room, but it was broken. Power outlets are mostly used up by lamps. The lighting was OK, but somewhat dim. The mini-fridge was a welcome addition, but so noisy that we needed to run the AC fan to drown it out. The bathroom was clean (as was the room) but the sink vanity was so high that it was difficult for me (not tall) to use. The only "hand soap" is a facial bar, but the shower does have shampoo, conditioner and soap from a dispenser. Further, the toilet is a split seat with no cover, so there is no place to sit in the bathroom while getting dressed. A stool would have been welcome and would have easily fit under that overly tall vanity. There are blinds on the window, but no drapes. The room gets quite light as soon as the sun is up. Noise from neighboring rooms could be annoying if you have loud neighbors (not much soundproofing). The balconies are nice, with a couple of chairs and a side table. Be sure to use the bolt lock on that door, as the balcony is accessible from other rooms. We did not see any bugs in the room, outside of an occasional fly finding its way in through on open door. We did not eat at the dining room because of dietary restrictions, so no opinion on that. The gift shop is nice, albeit pricey. All in all, it is about the quality of a 3 star room with a 5-star price. I would recommend it for the location, but spending (with tips) close to $600 for a couple of nights makes it a close call. It is close (walkable) to Stony Man and Millers Head trails.
