If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I booked a deluxe lake front room 6 months ago and talked to Michael at the front desk when I booked bc of all the bad reviews I had read. He assured me that the room I booked (deluxe lake front) was the rooms that were renovated and not the subject of all the bad reviews. I also called the hotel 3 weeks ago to double check that I had a deluxe lake front room and was confirmed. Fast forward to today, we went to check in at 4:00 pm and Michael stated that they overbooked and I no longer had that room and none were available. WHAT??!! When asked how this could happen he had no answer. My room is very old definitely a 1 star motel type of room. This place does not deserve any guests when they outwardly lie.

Beautiful location and the facilities are nice. The service however was subpar. Wanted to go to the pool and went by the front desk to pick up a towel. They didn't have any but they said they would have one delivered to me at the pool...waited over an hour, no towel. Went back to the front desk they said that they hadn't heard back from housekeeping. Which brings me to the second issue. Our room was never cleaned while we were at the resort. We didn't have any coffee pods in our room, so I went back to the front desk. They said they didn't have any and that they were on back order! I will say our waiter in the Driftwood Lounge was exceptional and is vastly out of place with the rest of the employees at this resort.

The location is exceptional. For the rest, they will make sure you feel unwelcome from the check-in until check-out. No toilet paper and no phone working in the room (to make sure you don't bother them). The room had half a toilet paper for 2 nights for a party of 3. No courtesy water in the room. When I walked to the reception to ask for more toilet paper, they gave me a roll, saying that it was the last one in the property. It felt like they were doing me a favor and they didn't even offer to bring it in the room: the lady picked it up from under the desk and placed it in my hand in front of other dumbfounded guests around me. Location is really spectacular but it's not worth the money you pay for the stay.

Would not recommend staying here, told us our room wasn't ready and had to check in at 7:00. When we got to our room one of the beds was broken, front desk said all that could do was send maintenance. They took forever to even get to the room. Overall terrible first impressions.

We were told by my brother who has a timeshare on a houseboat on Lake Powell to lower our expectations of this resort. He was right on. Why is this even considered a resort? The rooms while clean, felt dated. We did have an excellent view of the lake so mo complaints there. Our group of 6 had dinner at the main diner. One of our friends ordered the steak which came out overcooked and had to return it. They were nice about providing him another steak which was done correctly but the meat was just tough. Food was expensive and only ok for the price. Staff was cordial but not overly friendly. Starbucks staff was fine although limited in types of beverages and baked goods. Disappointed that there wasn’t a sit down coffee shop for a casual breakfast or just breakfast treats. Overall, I would not recommend this resort. I really wanted to because it’s located right next to the lake.

Overall we are enjoying our stay here! The views are amazing! We arrived early (12:30) and even though our room wasn’t ready, the front desk provided a key to the pool. The Escalante pool is the bigger of the two pools and has two hot tubs. The grounds and pool are nice. There are not any “extra” things to do at the resort aside from the pool/walking around. Also, the pictures make it seem like the pools were bigger? However, we all had fun; plenty of kids around as well; my son even made some friends to play with. People wrote the rooms were outdated; but our room was great. Seemed updated to me! We ate at the Rainbow Room which had fabulous views with good (but not great) food. Our server was great and the service was timely, but the food probably didn’t match the ambiance or price of the restaurant. (Go for prime rib over he ***** if debating on a steak dish!) If given the choice again, we’d pay the extra money to stay here over Page with the view and overall vibe here! You can always drive to Page for a different restaurant option as well.
