Beautiful home after Pagosa Spring at the end of its own private road with a very nice bedroom and big bathroom, although one must be aware that some bedrooms have a shared bathroom with your nextdoor bedroom neighbor. We didnt have anyone next to us so all was perfect. Very good breakfast made by the owner of the property who was a very nice host .

This was our Christmas gift to each other and our first trip to Colorado! Evelyn, our host was amazing, she made us and all the guest feel like family, I can not express the wonderful and welcoming hospitality, we are already looking forward to our next visit. If you are planning a trip to Colorado put Elktrace Lodge on your list ❤️

Amazing hospitality! We were greeted when we arrived and shown to our room. The room was so cute and had its own bathroom and spacious shower. The lodge itself was super cozy and had beautiful views. I loved being able to bring our fur babies with us. Will definitely come back

The staff was horrendously rude to me and very discriminatory toward a disabled person. The road to their property was closed and when I called to ask for directions, the person who answered told me she had no "patience for the relay call" yelled at the operator and then hung up on me. I have a hearing disability so needed to call through the relay service. I tried for 2 hours calling again and again. And no one would answer the phone. I was only 10 minutes away from the hotel yet I could not find my way there. I had driven a very long way, more than 3 hours and due to the long weekend there were no other hotels available. I was forced to turn around and drive all the way back home.

This place is a paradise if you want peace, quiet, space and natural beauty. Evelyn was a lovely host, kind and available but also very respectful for your own space and we felt superbly welcome. Annex building is beautiful and the view from the porch so serene, I wish we could have stayed longer. Town is close by for dinner and activities but you feel nicely separated from it in this wonderful ranch. This B&B makes you feel safe, calm and happy to just be and relax. A great getaway destination!

We recently stayed at Elk Trace. It is a working horse ranch surrounded by mountains. The accommodations, service and breakfasts were great, but the best part was walking around the ranch in the mornings and evenings. What could be better than mountains serving as a backdrop for watching horses and deer in the pastures. Although it is only a short drive to nearby Pagosa Springs, the ranch is quiet and serene, and a wonderful base camp for exploring the mountains and rivers. We loved our stay.

Really nice bed and breakfast with a good breakfast of pastries, eggs and ham, veggies, and hash browns. I had a little trouble finding the information about the rooms on their website. We stayed in the Moose room in the annex building and I was not aware that the bathroom was private but was not en suite. The pool table was fun.

Evelyn was very welcoming even though we arrived at 10pm and we needed to leave by 6:30am. She gave us breakfast to go so that we’d have something for the road. We didn’t see much of the place but what we did see was absolutely stunning and I’d love to come back to visit again to see everything. The best thing about this stay was the bed- it was the best night sleep we both had into our 10 day vacation and much needed.

Like a scene from the Movie "City Slickers" this place has amazing mountain views! And has everything that you would want on ina home away from home setting. Evelyn and her staff are so friendly, helpful and amazing! They serve a wonderful breakfast- and not only you get to take in the amazing scenery but also the amazing animals around the farm! There are only a couple B&B's like this one around the country that I know about- and this is definitely a hidden gem with so much to do! Don't miss out on making memories!
