I made an unscheduled stop at Pai and headed to the first hotel I saw. It was a stroke of good luck because it is located on Walking Street, a short stroll to the riverside. The room was spotless, spacious and well equipped with AC, fan, HBO, safe, kettle, coffee, tea and bottled water. The bathroom was equally spacious and well equipped. There was a choice of four breakfasts. I noticed a few reviews mentioning the noise from the adjacent bar; I was aware of the music when sitting outside but I was in a downstairs room and the music simply couldn't be heard through the walls. I would certainly stay here again.

We’ve been traveling around Thailand for 3 weeks now and changing hotels every 3 nights. It’s been the best so far. Super clean, excellent location, hot water, friendly staff. Amazing! The only thing that there’s a bar next to it and it’s loud in the evening and it goes on till like 1am. But it really depends if these things bug you or not. In our case it didnt.

Excellent location. On walking street. Restaurants shops busses nearby. Clean modern rooms. Excellent hot water and WiFi. Nice staff. No breakfast. No problem. Breakfast restaurants steps away. Prefer room on top floor and opposite of the bar that plays excellent music until late.
