Victoria Hill Hotel

Siamo andati in questo hotel occupando tre camere (una per me e mio marito, una per i miei cognati e una per mia mamma) perché volevamo una struttura vicina al mare e con la piscina in modo da lasciare maggiore libertà possibile a tutti per la gestione della giornata. La piscina purtroppo si è rivelata inutile per i nostri scopi perché, sebbene dotata di lettini e servizi, la mattina era interamente esposta al sole e con le temperature che abbiamo trovato non era adatta per noi. Comunque abbiamo ugualmente trascorso un soggiorno piacevolissimo, grazie alla disponibilità di camere nuove e pulite, con piccola zona esterna per stendere teli da mare e costume, grazie alla cortesia e alla disponibilità della proprietaria e del figlio e grazie ai servizi annessi, tra cui la buona e abbondante colazione servita in terrazza (avevamo scelto la formula con solo colazione). Durante il we ci ha raggiunto mia figlia che ha occupato due diverse singole: la signora ha trovato comunque un'ottima sistemazione nonostante le presenze nell'hotel e anche mia figlia è stata molto contenta della scelta. Insomma, grazie anche alla signora, l'esperienza resta più che positiva e indubbiamente da ripetere

Notre séjour restera inoubliable grâce à toute la famille Penna : les conseils de visite et d'activités que nous a prodigué Gina étaient parfaits et nous ont permis de découvrir l'île dans les meilleurs conditions ; Elisabeth et son équipe , nous permettaient de bien commencer la journée autour d'un petit déjeuner qui variait tous les jours ; Vaggelis et son père étaient toujours présents à toute heure, pour nous accueillir avec le sourire. Un grand merci à toute cette belle famille !

We had a very nice room with a balcony on the 2nd floor with a sea view. The bathroom was narrow and not really practically furnished, no shower head attachment, water ran right up to the toilet, toilet paper was loose on the cistern, the door to the bathroom kept coming off. However, everything was very clean and the bed was comfortable. There was always enough space by the pool. Reception was manned 24 hours a day with very friendly and helpful staff. The location is good and quiet, just a two-minute walk from the main road and the bus station, a maximum of 10 minutes to the beach and numerous restaurants and bars. Supermarket just around the corner. We were able to use the room for two hours after check-out on the day of departure, free of charge, for which we were very grateful. Free parking in front of the house. We enjoyed our stay. Since the beach at Dassia is very narrow and the sun loungers and umbrellas are mostly owned by the large hotels on the beach, it is advisable to rent a car or motorbike for at least a few days (rental stations in the immediate vicinity of the hotel) in order to explore other beaches on the beautiful island. We would be happy to come back!

I traveled with friends in August 2022 and stayed at this hotel, we booked two different rooms. When we entered the room for the first time, the entrance light didn't work, we were told that it would be fixed the following day but that wasn't the case. The room has everything a hotel room should have (no bidet or hairdryer), the furniture is a mix of modern and old-fashioned. The cleanliness of the rooms leaves something to be desired, there was always hair and dust on the floor from the first day, the sheets and towels were not changed unless expressly requested (everything was thrown on the floor). The bathroom is somewhat dilapidated, from the first day a shocking smell of sewage that comes and goes, in the morning when you turned on the water to wash you seemed to rinse yourself with stagnant water (an incredible smell of rotten eggs), inside the toilet toilet paper always floated (even after flushing the toilet) and very often other things also came up, to the wise man in a few words. The shower was scandalous, a little corner cut out in the bathroom for washing, very uncomfortable, it didn't feel like I was on holiday, you had to work hard to take a shower, flooding was the order of the day. We booked with the half board formula, we had breakfast and dinner included, mediocre food, from sweet to savory everything was spiced with cinnamon (or at least I think this was the spice), they managed to ruin a tomato sauce with this spice extremely annoying, the thing that disconcerted me the most was that to drink at dinner you had to pay, we are not talking about sugary drinks or beer but simple water, that is, I had to pay to have water at the table, when I booked half board I believed and I took it for granted that in addition to breakfast and dinner I had the possibility of having water during meals. The "canteen" was a terrace invaded by bees and wasps, personally they didn't bother me but many people were annoyed as the dishes and the people themselves were literally attacked by the latter. The staff has always been kind and friendly, starting from the people at reception and ending with the people who took care of the restaurant part. The location of the hotel satisfied us as it was a few minutes by motorbike from Ipsos and a few minutes from the beaches of Dassia. We had a small misunderstanding with the reception on the last day as we were convinced that we had paid the tourist tax already upon our arrival, we did not argue because we were not 100% certain that we had paid the tourist tax as soon as we arrived so we paid at the end of the holiday without any problem, we are waiting for the transactions of the card we paid with to check if we had actually paid the tax as soon as we arrived (I will edit the review once I find out everything).
