We had been to this place on the 16th and 17th of July 2022 (just for a night). Like everyone else – we found this place while surfing the internet for a weekend getaway. This place has amazing ratings across ***y travel websites, and I am still not sure why. The experience was just a little worse than a casual okay. We were a group of 6 and we paid 5K per couple per tent so 15K overall. This amount covered our guided walk to the nearest waterfall, overnight stay, afternoon lunch, tea break, dinner, and breakfast the next day. For now, you may feel that it is completely worth the price they’re charging but please wait. Let me share something more. 1. Stay – Tents were poorly maintained. Their insides (bed sheets, mattresses, covers) were stinking and I am pretty sure they weren’t cleaned for at least 2 weeks. The cooler wasn’t functional and needed staff support to get it fixed. The washrooms were not fully enclosed. We had to be really careful while our carrying out our usual routine. The place also had major water issues and we had to repeatedly follow up with the ground staff for a decent amount of water. 2. Ambience – It was just okay and I personally feel – the conditions could be improved significantly. We were always surrounded by our very own infectious mosquitos. We were never left alone. So – we really couldn’t settle down anywhere on the property. They sure made us always be on our toes 😉 3. Staff – They only had overall 3 members on the staff to support all of their guests. We always had to struggle to get things from or done by the staff. 4. Food – It wasn’t great as well. They advertise this place to be catered by localites and the food to be amazingly cooked but it isn’t as it was promised. 5. Most important fact about this place is the long walk downhill so as to reach the main entrance of Ananta Ecostays. We have to park our vehicles at a certain point and from there we need to walk down for at least 1.2 Km to reach our tents. The best part is to walk back up the next day while leaving this place. It really takes the life out of you. Lastly, please choose some other place to enjoy your time with your family/friends.

I was here for two days to do a recce for Forest Yoga Retreats.I found this an ideal location away from the busy humdrum of city life right into the lap of nature. They have a dedicated place for Yoga practice which was wonderful!Apart from that, there's a lovely little trek right within the premises which takes one down to a natural waterfall for about half of the year and a quiet little grotto for the other half. All in all the place is rustic,a haven for adventurers, wonderful views of the nearby hills and dales, it's own forest to boast, full of trees and fragrant plants. The icing on the cake is that the whole resort is situated on mineral-rich land full of natural crystals, making it ideal for Yoga and Meditative Silence. I don't think I could ask for more and look forward to conducting ***y retreats here!

The property is situated on a hill with low network connectivity. Great for digital detox. Getting there: Getting there is easy, but getting in the resort is actually a challenge during the rains if you do not have a 4WD car. The road leading upto the resort from the main road is tricky. While I had no problem going in with my Ecosport, while coming back up again, I got stuck for a bit on the steep incline leading to the main road. The Accommodation: We had booked a luxury tent with all meals included plan. The tent itself was roomy with a big bed and smaller bed, comfortable for 3 of us. It also had a split AC and a cooler, a side table and a big table. The tent had an attached bath and a toilet and an outer sitting area. It was away from other tents so we had the surroundings to ourselves. Though it was a luxury tent, it was still a tent and we had a frog and a couple of lizards for company during the night. The housekeeping was kind enough and did send a couple of people to drive the frog and lizards out. They were successful in driving the lizards out, but the frog eluded them. The other category tents were closer to each other but looked comfortable and had toilets and bath attached. They can be used for groups. Activities: The place has Archery, darts, table tennis table, carrom and other indoor games. A courtyard overlooking the valley and hills with hammocks to relax in. There is also a waterfall down the hill which the caretaker will arrange for. But it is chargeable, you will be charged 300 PP for taking you to the waterfall. The trek itself was very risky for someone like me who is not physically fit. It had a narrow path through high grass and sometimes slippery slope. I did ***age to reach there though with some difficulty. Once you are down at the spot, getting to the waterfall is even tricky and few from a group before us slipped on the rocks and got hurt. We did ***age to reach the waterfall by crawling on all fours :-). Food: Food is very basic and local, but nutritious (rice is red rice). There was dal and rice and one veggie and chicken curry with gulab jamun for lunch and for dinner there were 2 veggies (Cabbage and Chouli), chicken curry and barbeque chicken (chargeable). Overall it was a relaxing trip with a nice drive from Mumbai and fantastic atmosphere at the place. But I would say, avoid in monsoon if you are not fit and dont like bugs, critters and small animals in your tent. It would be great after the rains stop. Great place to relax and chill! Also, ask for Tiger if you do not see him anywhere, he is absolutely fantastic, we were greeted by him at the gate and had good fun with him!

The place is amazing, beautiful Waterfall and small Trek. The trek is not that tough there were small children who came with us down for trekking. There was also a Lady 60+ she did the trek with us, that was crazy. The Tents and washrooms are well kept Cleaned. The food made by the villagers (people working there) was very tasty. Host (Avinash) is a Kind and down to earth person. He helped us with with trek and also if we required anything. I will always suggest people to go here and enjoy the beauty of this place.
