The property is situated on a hill with low network connectivity. Great for digital detox. Getting there: Getting there is easy, but getting in the resort is actually a challenge during the rains if you do not have a 4WD car. The road leading upto the resort from the main road is tricky. While I had no problem going in with my Ecosport, while coming back up again, I got stuck for a bit on the steep incline leading to the main road. The Accommodation: We had booked a luxury tent with all meals included plan. The tent itself was roomy with a big bed and smaller bed, comfortable for 3 of us. It also had a split AC and a cooler, a side table and a big table. The tent had an attached bath and a toilet and an outer sitting area. It was away from other tents so we had the surroundings to ourselves. Though it was a luxury tent, it was still a tent and we had a frog and a couple of lizards for company during the night. The housekeeping was kind enough and did send a couple of people to drive the frog and lizards out. They were successful in driving the lizards out, but the frog eluded them. The other category tents were closer to each other but looked comfortable and had toilets and bath attached. They can be used for groups. Activities: The place has Archery, darts, table tennis table, carrom and other indoor games. A courtyard overlooking the valley and hills with hammocks to relax in. There is also a waterfall down the hill which the caretaker will arrange for. But it is chargeable, you will be charged 300 PP for taking you to the waterfall. The trek itself was very risky for someone like me who is not physically fit. It had a narrow path through high grass and sometimes slippery slope. I did ***age to reach there though with some difficulty. Once you are down at the spot, getting to the waterfall is even tricky and few from a group before us slipped on the rocks and got hurt. We did ***age to reach the waterfall by crawling on all fours :-). Food: Food is very basic and local, but nutritious (rice is red rice). There was dal and rice and one veggie and chicken curry with gulab jamun for lunch and for dinner there were 2 veggies (Cabbage and Chouli), chicken curry and barbeque chicken (chargeable). Overall it was a relaxing trip with a nice drive from Mumbai and fantastic atmosphere at the place. But I would say, avoid in monsoon if you are not fit and dont like bugs, critters and small animals in your tent. It would be great after the rains stop. Great place to relax and chill! Also, ask for Tiger if you do not see him anywhere, he is absolutely fantastic, we were greeted by him at the gate and had good fun with him!
