Very quiet and pretty place. Good and plentiful food. Other than that, the services are too expensive. We are offered a beer or a gin and tonic for 5000 rupees per person to see the sunset 2 km away. We walked there ourselves, which was a lovely walk. Concerning the Leopard Safari outing, you have to pay 8000 rupees per person. We then learned that we had to use our own car, drive about 1h30 to go to a reserve, try to see the leopards, then return to the Lodge, again with 1h30 by car... I really do not understand. We could do it ourselves by passing a reserve! No other activities in the Lodge. Bad value for money.

Excellent and exclusive. Well designed resort set in the middle of a forest. The staff are trained and attentive and food to die for. My Airtel connection did not work which was a bonus as the last thing you want here is outside disturbance.

Fabulous stay here with our son and his girlfriend. We’d already met Reggie, the amazing owner, when we celebrated Holi with him at his Jazz Safari (separate review) and we were thrilled and privileged that he and his lovely wife came to see us at Mountbatten. It’s a beautiful property, located a few hours out of Udaipur, with the Jain Temple at Ranakpur nearby. We stayed in the family suite - two very large suites, sharing a fabulous pool. The staff are excellent - attentive, friendly and efficient. We wanted for nothing. The food was superb - lunch under the banyan tree, cocktails in the bar, dinner in one of the ***y indoor/outdoor dining areas. One afternoon we had sundowners on a nearby hill - we arrived to chairs set up to see a sunset view to die for and the best gin and tonics! Another afternoon, we were taken on a leopard safari and were lucky to see a mother and two cubs. Reggie and his team (special mention to the fabulous Daragh and the super efficient Chouhan) are amazing to deal with. Reggie is a class act - he has immaculate taste, is a legend in the Indian Tourism Industry and is passionate about his guests receiving 5 star trea**ent and creating memories to last a lifetime. If you get the opportunity to stay at any if his properties, take it! You won’t regret it!

This place is sublime. Beautifully presented colonial style property with exquisite individual bungalows. The owner and host, Reggie and Dara, went far more than the extra mile to make our visit special in every way with an awesome mobile desert camp to spot leopards. Impossible to recommend highly enough

What a special place! A real hideaway in the jungle in the midst of extraordinary nature. And very close to the famous Ranakpur temples! The huge villa was beautiful, the Banyan tree under which lunch was served is just amazing, and unforgettable our dinner under the stars! The staff there is great as well, we felt almost like family. Thanks Daragh, thanks everyone!

The lodge is well planned and done in a very foresty valley. The villas are huge with sit outs , and anything you can askk for, though an expensive place. Best thing however is the cuisine both veg and non veg. The cold cucumber soup is to die for .

Just one and half hours away from Udaipur is where I found peace, coupled with calm. Was I expecting it? No. The ride was easy, roads all clear and I thought considering the safari and all -the holiday could get hectic. But was so pleasantly surprised at this haven, nestled in between surrounding hills. A four room Villa, boundless space everywhere one looked. Just green, green and so damn pretty. The rain Gods had been kind to Rajasthan this year. I wanted to fit everything in as I had heard so much about Ranakpur. So here I was lodged in a beautiful villa, that came with its own personal valet. Reason, no phones, no Tvs, iffy wifi and none of the other trappings of daily life. I could get used to this. Solar heating took care of the heating, but the climate enthused me. It dipped by dusk and I could don my shawl.Something special fr a Mumbaiite. Fireplaces everywhere reminded one of the winters that could bite. Happiness overcame me. I was at the right place. What one can do besides feeling like this? well..to get the adrenaline pumping I went on the leopard Safari and scored. Got to see one of those beauties. And the whole experience is something to definitely write home about. Calmer was the drive to the Kumbalgarh fort (a unesco site) and it was a pleasure driving anywhere as I love road trips as its the only way to discover the countryside. The Ranakpur Temple is a must ofcourse. About the MountBatten Lodge, I cannot say enough. Beautifully maintained, with intricate details used in their hospitality, understanding their guest's profile, likes and dislikes, comfort meals cooked by their chef, the hosts undivided attention, it became an experience to remember. What would I suggest to other travellers? Take that road to Ranakpur You have no idea what you are missing!!

Home away from home and much more! Impeccable service, food and ambience. Rooms so large with all the amenities. The hosts entertaining and warm. The staff at our beck and call. Did not need to ask for anything. The variety of food and so so tasty is very rare to find in remote places like this. A perfect setting for groups of women, family & friends. Beautiful settings for lunches and dinners. Beautiful treks in the forest. A must do is the sundowner.

I have no words for the experience we had. the place is gorgeous, beautifully maintained and filled with royal Rajasthani hospitality. 3 course meals of authentic homestyle cuisines served in exquisite changing outdoor seatings at every meal. trail walks and beautiful sunsets are all a part of this prestigious deco. the rooms are large and spacious . I have never been to a property where the hosts are so welcoming and involved in the day to day running of a place. perfect 3/5 night getaway .
