The Colony Hotel

I went for a brief trip to celebrate one of my favorite philanthropies so I did not have a chance to sample all of the Hotel's features (for example, I did not get to go to the off-site gym). However, I can report that this grand resort epitomizes old Florida IMO and I liked its warmth and intimacy better than the grandeur of its primary competitor, The Breakers. The service is wonderful. All of the staff are friendly and call you by name. The turndown service is wonderful and they give you an interesting card about the history and an exceptionally tasty sweet macaron form Laduree. My room was quite small and fully priced, but you could not have a better location - just one block from the Beach and Worth Avenue. The "free" in-house car service featuring a vintage Land Rover Defender and a Volvo station wagon is quite exceptional.

Great weekend getaway hotel for couples.

We traveled from Davie to celebrate our daughter Sofia's preschool graduation, and from the moment we arrived, we were truly blown away. The level of service, the beautiful room upgrade, the thoughtful sweet treats, and especially the handwritten note for Sofia made our family feel incredibly welcomed and celebrated. This was both our first visit to Palm Beach Island and our first stay at The Colony, and thanks to your team's kindness and attention to detail, it certainly won't be our last. Creating memorable experiences has become increasingly rare, and your team exceeded every expectation. Thank you for making such a special milestone even more meaningful for our family. I had a horrible experience at the Colony Hotel. After my last night, I woke up with bug bites all over the lower portion of my body. The bites were in the pattern and coloring of bed bug bites. When I checked the bed more closely, I found a dead bug and hair under the mattress. This made me seriously question whether the room had been properly cleaned or inspected before my arrival. The condition of the room was unacceptable, and I notified management immediately upon my discovery. The hotel claims they had the room inspected for bed bugs, but of course they would say that. I texted pictures to a bed bug inspector, who said the bites did look like bed bug bites. When I arrived home after a five-hour flight, I could not enter my home for fear of infesting it and had to either professionally clean all my clothes or keep them in trash bags outside for several days. It was a huge stress, inconvenience, and additional cost. I reported the issue to the hotel, but they refused to offer any acceptable resolution. They offered a free upgrade for my next stay, which felt insulting under the circumstances. After that, they stopped responding to me altogether. The lack of accountability and follow-up made an already unacceptable experience even worse. Guests should be able to expect a clean, sanitary sleeping area and respectful customer service when serious concerns are raised. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. I would not recommend this property to anyone and there are much better stays in Palm Beach.

Amazing atmosphere, classic Palm Beach. The food is incredible. Staff is super lovely and professional. The location couldn’t be more ideal and the amenities are great.

We LOVED our stay here! We were surprised with a complementary room upgrade when we arrived. The villa we stayed in was absolutely fabulous. All the staff were so helpful and kind and treated us like old friends. Breakfast at Swifty's was perfect as always, and we will definitely be coming back soon!

The hotel is GORGEOUS!! The staff was amazing...they did above and beyond for us...very friendly and very helpful. It was a wonderful place for a staycation with friends and to have a birthday celebration dinner. The food was amazing too. I would HIGHLY recommend it and look forward to my next visit.

Overrated and over priced this hotel really disappointed. The rooms are very small and pokey with no facilities. The first room they tried to palm us off with was terrible, no fridge, no dressing table and no bedside tables just a small shelf. Tired and old fashion sums it up. The second room was not much better just a tad bigger and they delivered a fridge because there wasn’t one. We were going to eat in the restaurant but when I saw a small fillet steak on its own was $92 we went to a local top restaurant at almost half the price. Before we came to this hotel we stayed in the Breakers Hotel which was 100% better in every way and just down the road. Looks good when you walk in and stops there.
