We really wanted to experience this hotel, after hearing about it for years. I went straight to their website and got a great price for two nights. I booked six weeks in advance and looked forward to it daily. When we got here, it was 1:00 and guaranteed check-in wasn't until 4. We couldn't eat lunch inside (100 degrees out) because the air-conditioner was broken. Okay, so outside was not so bad as feels like 100 goes, and the food at Swifty's was great! I checked twice in three hours to see if a room was ready, they said they would call me when it was available. People came in shortly after us and, lo and behold, their room was ready. And so it went--everyone had a room but turns out ours was the last one to be cleaned and it happened right at 4 pm! No. Then in the room, we were missing some of the amenities that go with every room. What the bottom line is, they did not want us here and let us know it. They advertised a lower rate, I took it, but we have been "punished" for it since we came in! At least that's how we feel. And I had to pull one apology out, but now they are just not communicating. Horrible treatment, we are so disappointed.
