We visited the beautiful Tuscany Manor in Palm Springs ("The Tuscany") for a long weekend in January and had a blast. Not only is this place adults-only, clothing-optional and swinger-friendly but it also has a wonderfully charming, small-hotel feel to it as there are only around 20 suites. All of The Tuscany’s rooms surround and face the central courtyard where there is a very nice pool with lounge chairs, tables and a large hot tub. The views from the courtyard were great! Nearby mountains, lots of trees and random quaint decor. Plus of course all our new friends sunbathing by the pool. In the evening, you can keep warm with drinks sitting around the firepit if the hot tub isn’t your thing. The hosts even bought snacks and a specialty cocktail that they served Saturday afternoon. It was so much fun. If you’ve never bared it all at a clothing optional resort, give this place a shot. You will fit right in regardless of age or body type. It rained a bit one day while we were there but that didn't stop all of from keeping the hot tub occupied at all times of the day. It was very rarely ever empty as there was a big pop-up cover over it keeping our hair dry. When all the guests weren't getting to know each other in the spa or pool, we all wandered bar-crawl style to various rooms with open doors where guests invited us to hang out and party. The Tuscany even has one of their rooms reserved and open 24/7 as a designated playroom where you can REALLY get to know your new neighbors! Being from out of town, we were curious how The Tuscany rates against the 3 other clothing optional resorts in the Palm Springs area. Regulars there told us that the Tuscany is about a 2 out of 4 in terms of tame to raunchy party-atmosphere. So use that info as you will if you are coming here just for the lifestyle aspect. We thought the dynamic of the various guests was amazing. Some were lifestyle, some were just nudists but we all meshed perfectly! If you happen to see older photos of The Tuscany’s courtyard where there is an old white metal fence around the pool area, know that the fence was removed during their adults-only renovation in late 2019. You should also disregard any pre-October 2019 reviews you might read that complain about the hotel and rooms being run-down. The hotel was renovated and changed to adults only at that time. Plus, this place just isn’t the Ritz-Carlton. If things like scuffed baseboards, dirt specks on the floor or loose screws on a towel rack make you go insane, go find yourself a Ramada Inn. If you’re the more laidback type who is accepting of people and hotels as they are, you will quickly see why you need to secure your Tuscany Manor reservations well in advance. Note that they also offer very reasonably priced day-passes. So if your friends beg you to join them but you wait too long, you will find weekends at The Tuscany booked solid which will force you to find somewhere else to stay where you have to tolerate things like stuffy, sui
