The Westin Rancho Mirage Golf Resort & Spa

Business trip turned pleasure trip. Decided to join my spouse for his business trip near Palm Springs. I was looking for a hotel with clean rooms, that allowed pets with a reasonable fee. Westin Mission Hills Golf Resort and Spa went way beyond what I was hoping for. Friendly and helpful staff, bar with live entertainment, game room, miniature putt putt, and plenty of outdoor seating areas with fire pits. Offered the needed security for work vehicle. Enjoyed daily walks on the property. luxury rooms fix for two guest with sliding glass doors to open patio with sitting area. Restaurant food was exceptional, however limited selection and expensive (don’t forget to mention daily room discount like we did). About 30 minute drive to downtown Palm Springs, 10 mins to multiple shopping and food locations. A true 5 Star hotel!

Positive: nice rooms, friendly staff, large area, gaming room, good breakfast buffet, decent drinks at bars, adult pool area Neutral: cleaning comes in really random times - one day at 9 am, the other at 4pm. Unfortunately, 2nd day we were in a rush to get to restaurant right after gym and they were cleaning. Since they didn't speak English, it felt a bit uncomfortable for them and us when we had to close ourselves to bathroom to quickly wash and change clothes while they were cleaning the rooms, as we were unable to communicate that. Minuses: * Not enough food options on the premises in the evening. * The main restaurant is quite expensive, and the food is not with good quality/price ratio. * The main restaurant breakfast was meh (coffee, Denver omelet, toasts) and expensive, while the buffet (which they don't really promote) was so much better (custom-made omelet, fresh fruit, oatmeal, smoked salmon, etc.) and with very good price-to-value ratio.

The shower/tub was visibly dirty and the heater didn’t work in the room we were in originally. We called the front desk and was told housekeeping would come and clean and never did. We called the front desk, and we were given a different room. The heater worked but we noticed hair in the shower. Ended up cleaning the shower ourselves.

Coleman was very helpful and nice. What a great way to be welcomed and start this trip. Great experience and location. This place is beautiful and unique. The staff is very helpful and courteous. I love the Marriott hotels and this one does not disappoint.

Ok so this property is absolutely gorgeous! However what makes this resort standout is all the employees I encountered they made us feel like a king and a queen our entire stay. Of all those employees the one who really stood out above the rest was Chris Fritz!!! We were blessed (and I don’t use that term lightly) at check-in to meet him and he is amazing. If Westin has a nationwide training center for customer service this guy Chris needs to be running it. 10/10 for property cleanliness, customer service and food/ambiance

Our family went over Memorial Day weekend and as we expected it was busy. The staff did their very best to keep all guests happy. Check in was a long wait but cookies and drinks were provided. We were checked in by Coleman who took his time with our family and was engaging with our children. He was a 5 star! Our room was clean however there was no hand soap and when asked at the front desk later, they were out. We went to the pool the next morning and already it was crowded. The staff were dealing with guests that were saving multiple pool chairs. Our family found a spot and then relocated to another spot after no one had been there for at least 45 minutes. The person who claimed to occupy the seats came back and was absolutely horrible in her interactions with me. The pool manager, Patricia came over and handled it. She was kind and helped us relocate. I know she had a lot of stress that weekend so kudos to her and the staff for handling everything graciously. The pool was packed but as it was expected for a holiday weekend. There were unruly guests that just felt that they were the exceptions to the rules. Appreciate the staff for doing what they could. We will be back on another occasion.

We love this place! Beautiful resort. Can’t wait to come back for a longer visit.
