Palm Mountain Resort & Spa

The location is fantastic. There are plenty of good restaurants, bars, shops within walking distance and walking is easy since the city of Palm Springs is basically flat! I parked in the hotel lot and walked everywhere I wanted to go. The hotel does not have a restaurant or bar but I knew this when I booked so no problem. They do have a small cantina type room where you can buy snacks, some sandwiches, drinks, coffee, etc and ice machines everywhere. The service was very good, all employees where helpful and friendly. My room was very clean and good sized with a large bathroom. The room location was also good, on the ground floor near the pool with a view of a parklike courtyard. The pool was large and crowded (I arrived on Saturday afternoon) and everyone seemed to be having a good time. I took a dip the next morning right after maintenance finished cleaning the pool and was the only one there, it was great! I will definitely stay again at the Palm Mountain Resort.

Only plus was it was close to downtown PS , so is Best Western…. A huge disappointment. Can’t believe the word spa OR resort Is in name. Staff weren’t warm or inviting. $450 a night? WHAT A JOKE! We felt completely ripped off. Don’t waste your money or time.

Great location and service!

Everything was amazing. Location couldn’t have been any better. We didn’t have to drive anywhere. Only thing that would have made it better is breakfast offered at hotel instead of a random voucher for a place across the street but better than nothing! Will definitely recommend.

No recycling which was disappointing. Also called to request clean towels and washcloths be deliverd. Came back 7 hours later, dirty towels were still in the floor and now clean towels delivered. Went to the front desk to get some and there weren’t any clean washcloths available. With the price point and resort fees on top of that, these items should always be available.

Very good price for the stay and super friendly staff. highly recommend! Also, they were giving out free liquid IV which was a lifesaver

Very good hotel. Loved the free Starbucks coffee in the mini-store in the morning. Not so pleased with the surprise $22 resort fee added at the time of the final bill.

The resort is nice. Rooms were clean and the pool area was very nice. However, they include "spa" in their name. The spa is run by a third party. The spa recommended we pre-book our treatments and said it was the hotel's policy that we had to prepay. Our flight from Canada was cancelled and we were a day late in arriving. We missed our appointments and we were told we would not be refunded our money. The spa management were quite rude to us and implied several times that by asking for a refund we did not want their staff to get paid. We never said that. All we asked was if the appointments could get rescheduled. The response was that we could reschedule but would have to pay again. If the spa wanted to pay their staff and provide us a partial refund we would have been find with that. The spa management tried to deflect blame on the hotel several times and that is when we found out the hotel has nothing to do with the spa. Although the spa recommended we pre-book our treatments, we noted may times during our week stay that their was no one in the spa. After many emails to the hotel and the spa management company we finally received a 30% refund 2 weeks after our stay.
