Publicidad falsa.

The heated pool is out to property, located 40 minutes from the property, which was not clarified in the reservation. The bathroom had a bad mood, lack of maintenance.

The game room closed at 6p, the pool and gym were 20 minutes away at a gated community which left hardly any option for entertainment for kids. In the game room, the equipment was extremely outdated and dirty. The pool table was missing the white ball and you have to pay to use a ball for the ping pong table. The property was nice but I won't be returning as I feel it is not worth what I paid. The woman at the front desk was extremely pleasant.

Staff here was very Nice, Diane was wonderful. Sadly, the good ends there. This Resorts owners should be ashamed of the outdated, filthy conditions here. Bed was extremely old and overused.Box springs were crushed. There was a sheet of old plywood between the very old, cheap, springy mattress and box springs. Dirt, dust and grime everywhere. We removed the grease screens from the over the stove microwave and let them soak in the sink due to the entire unit smelling like grease. The " Laundry Facility" is an 4' x 8' outdoor filthy utility closet that an old washer and dryer was stuffed into. This Resort has potential but needs to be completely updated.

Tanglwood Resorts (plural) seems to be a series of three related resorts spread out over miles in Hawley and Tafton. My husband and I stayed in one of the two-bedroom townhouse-style units that are next to Lake Tanglwood and the clubhouse of the Paupack Hills Golf Club but not near any of the resort amenities such as the pool and clubhouse. The unit looked like attempts to update it have taken place recently, but some things were overlooked; for example, the air conditioning/heating vents were old and rusted. Also, as a result of COVID while we were there, they were not providing any bedspreads on the beds while were there, so the instructions were to bring your own blankets if you thought you might get could. We did, and it did get cold at night, so they really came in handy. These units are not handicapped accessible. You enter into the kitchen with the combined living/dining room beyond it and a big glass slider that leads out onto a small deck and provides a lovely view of the lake. Then, there are about two steps up to the master bedroom where the steps are oddly placed (like, they’re not standard step height). There’s another set of steps up to the second story with another bedroom and bathroom as well as a loft area overlooking the living area downstairs that seems to be where random items of unused furniture go. So, the unit was slightly underwhelming, but we were there to explore the Poconos for the first time, and the location is a 60-to-90-minute drive from a number of different things, making it a great departure point for day trips and drives. However, having been there once, there’s not much about this resort that would draw me back a second time. I might consider one of the other timeshare exchanges in the Poconos, though, because the area is really lovely.

The resort location is fantastic. We had a beautiful view of the lake, and the balcony was fantastic. The room was clean, the linens were good, and while dated, the decor was pretty much exactly what I was expecting from a Poconos vacation. It was a friendly place, with an arcade the kids enjoyed, sports equipment and a VERY clean pool (not heated, but it was in the high 80s all week, so totally fine for cooling off and swimming!). My kids had a fun game of volleyball with some other guests one day, and had a blast in it. The furniture at the patio/pool was also clean and comfortable, and there is a gorgeous view of the lake from the pool area. My kids loved the expansive front lawn, which was perfect for playing soccer, running around, and playing with some other guests' kids. The supermarket and CVS are less than five minutes away by car, walking trails are along the water across the street, and a great ice cream place (Dairy Twist) also about 5 minutes away. There's a public beach for swimming that can be walked to or driven to (about a 2 minute drive), right next to the Visitor's Center. The staff at Tanglwood was friendly and helpful, super nice, got us an extra blanket for our daughter, helped with directions, very helpful when we discovered hornets trying to create a hive on our balcony the first day (they were there within an hour and removed the beginning of the hive, and sprayed, and there were no more issues!). We DID have some issues with the people underneath our unit smoking on their patio (cigars, cigarettes, and vaping), which would waft right up to our balcony. We spoke to the management about this the first day, because it IS supposed to be nonsmoking in the units and on the balcony/patio area, and they called and reminded them not to. We did still noticed them vaping after that, so unfortunately, we couldn't use the balcony as much as we would have liked (the smell bothered my kids and me), and couldn't leave the screen open to let air flow in without the smoke also coming in, but that's not the resort's fault- they did what they could, you can't control someone who isn't going to follow the rules anyway! Just frustrating because when they were not smoking, and we COULD leave the door open (screen only closed), it was wonderful to have the breeze coming in. There is also AC in the bedroom and the main living space as well, which was great when it was hotter on a few days!

Location is very remote. Hard to find. Room needs updating, old lumpy sofa bed, old curtains and tv. Not much to do in area and indoor pool is miles away at another resort. Never will I ever go back to this place.
