Lukans Farm Resort

Great place to kick back and unwind with family. My wife’s family has been coming here for years and it shows why. Safe to say we will continue to come for years to come. Great people, great hospitality ,great food, many memories and happy kids. My older kid (2yr old) loved the goats and the pool. Loved running around the grounds exploring and enjoying dinners daily.

My first time visiting Lukan’s was last year with my friends and family. My friend has been coming to Lukan’s and mentioned it to me and I said let’s Check it out. I came with my husband and my 4 Year old son. We love it. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. The food never disappoints. Every meal is a hit. For the mushroom soup to the salad and the dessert everything is absolutely fresh and delicious. They also have a pool, Kids playground. The best part of the property are the goats. My son and i love to feed them. They sell the feed at the front desk for 1$. Even the goat are friendly. We are planning to have Lukan’s part of our summer getaway every year. Thank you Lukan’s for the excellent meals and your friendliness.

This is my second visit to the restaurant and I brought other family members that have not been here before. The location is a resort and outsiders can come to dinner.Eleanor, person in charge, runs a tight ship and it shows. Upon entering the clean dining room, the tables were set, and sliced sweet watermelon was waiting per guest. Hot rolls were delivered to the table, Assorted drinks were offered.Tonight’s dinner was beef goulash and chicken and served family style. First came the fresh, crisp salad, then chicken pieces, egg noodles, peas and carrots, and the beef. The beef was soft and tender. The chicken was done just right. When everything was gone, we requested seconds on all. Again all was tasty. The chef does a great job in preparing and cooking the foods. Our server, Jeb, was a true professional, and did an outstanding job in serving, and granting our requests. For dessert, a donut was given and one can stuff it with strawberry jelly. No regrets coming here again as the food and service are tops. The restaurant is clean, staff is friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed a delicious meal and look forward to the next time.

We did not have the opportunity to stay at the resort but did make reservation for dinner on a Sunday. We arrived earlier to see the location. Eleanor greeted us and advised we may enter the restaurant part of the resort in a few minutes. This gave me the time to walk around the grounds. I visited the friendly goats and chickens, there was a playground for young children, sport locations for the adults, spacious land within the resort area. The area is lovely and very relaxing. At 6 PM, the restaurant opens and guests and visitors fill the tables. The tables are nicely set with tablecloths, doilies, plates and silverware for everything being served for dinner. todays dinner featured, soda/ice tea, soup, salad, mashed potatoes, green beans, sliced roast beef, coffee/tea, and a ice cream sundae. Our server, Dane, who did a great job serving us, introduced himself, and asked for drinks. He arrived with ice teas, and a basket of hot, fresh rolls. After that everything was arriving timely in between each part of the meal. The soup contained small pasta and vegetables and was very tasty. The salad was fresh with their own dressing mixed in. It was so good we were somewhat embarrassed to ask for another, but Dane asked us and we all said yes at the same time. With the bowl of salad he also brought more hot, fresh baked rolls. Then came the mashed potatoes, green beans, and sliced roast beef. Totally delicious. We finished the platters and Dean came by refilling our ice teas and this time we were not shy nor embarrassed to ask for another round of vegetables, mashed potatoes and roast beef. It arrived and it was as fantastic as the first delivery. Sometimes when food is truly this delicious, one must purge and when Dane came by taking away the used platters, he asked if we wanted more and only I jumped for the chance. I did request 3 slices instead of the many contained within the platter. Again, delicious. The ice cream sundae was a great ending and only one is served. Totally enjoyed the grounds, the service, and the food. It was a warm and friendly a**osphere that I felt like part of their family. I look forward to my next visit. We went here as kids and always loved it. I was happily surprised to find it was still running. My friends and I used to go to Chestnut Grove as adults but that closed last year. I recommended Lukans and we are all so glad we came here. It is even nicer than I remembered. The flowers and farm are beautiful. The rooms are big and clean. The pool is great. The food above all is excellent! The owners and the workers are the loveliest people. I cannot wait to go back.
