La realidad es que no entiendo y me sorprenden mucho los malos comentarios! Es una excelente opción en Panajachel, al menos en mi experiencia. Está en el mero corazón de calle Santander, literal a minutos caminando de TODO. La habitación es amplia, la cama cómoda, tiene Smart TV y las chicas de la recepción son súper amables :) te guardan las maletas en lo que te vas el día de tu checkout. Tiene un jardín y un terraza muy linda. Agradecidísima con las cortinas blackout🙌🏽. Única observación: la ama olía mucho como a humedad, como a rancio. De ahí en fuera y a pesar de eso, es una excelente opción, me quedaría de nuevo!! Aparte, hay un periquito gruñón y gatitos!!! Ya extraño!

Very nice location just seemed a little outdated. It was very hot in the room, but we understood due to the season. Maybe extra fans in the room would’ve helped.

Schlimmste Unterkunft!!! Nicht empfehlenswert!!! Die Wände des Bads waren komplett mit Schimmel bedeckt, so dass Handtücher und alles was drin war danach gerochen hat. Der Geruch war so intensiv, dass wir ständig die Tür aufmachen mussten. Zum Glück haben wir nur 2 Nächte gebucht. Die Mitarbeiterinnen waren zwar sehr nett und sie konnten nichts für den Zustand der Zimmer.

What a total disgrace of a hotel. We checked in and very quickly realised they hadn’t changed the bedding. There was a man’s beard hair and head hair all over the pillows. When we flagged it they did change the bedding and the lady apologised and said ‘it was my friend’. Totally disgusting, thought they could get away with it . avoid at all costs

In a town with many fine, affordable hotels, this remains my favourite. I showed up unexpected this time, without reservation. Marie, the wonderful host, said "Room with private bathroom?" I said "sure". $40; two nights, in a clean, cozy, safe and relaxing little spot. What more could you ask for? If you're looking for glamour or big, elegant courtyards or verandas, those hotels are around, for six or seven times the price, but if small, clean, welcoming, and modest is all you need, this is the place for you. Literally two blocks from tje main market, including the fabulous Mercado Artisan, where you'll find EVERY beautiful Guatemalan handcraft available, and maybe five short blocks to the central square. Lord willing, I will be back soon, and Hospedaje El Viajero will be where I stay!

We stayed at Hospedaje El Viajero because it was getting late on my way up the lake. They were willing to accommodate me very last minute, and the room was perfect. It had a good size, not very big, but great for just me and my partner. The bathroom was clean and small but adequate. They provided free drinking water, and our room had a patio with tables and chairs, offering a nice view of another restaurant and music. It's a budget hotel, so don't expect anything fancy, but it was a great price with great staff and a great location. It was a really nice and cozy stay.
