Disappointing Experience at The Cove, Atlantis Bahamas I reluctantly write this review to provide feedback to management for the improvement of future guests' experiences. My husband and I stayed at The Cove at Atlantis, Bahamas for two nights, expecting a somewhat luxurious (at least compared to the rest of the resort) experience in a high-end setting. Check-in and Initial Impressions: Our arrival and check-in were smooth, and as an Executive Platinum Marriott member, I appreciated being offered amenities (no upgrade was offered), choosing a bottle of wine to be delivered to our room. However, the subsequent handling of these amenities was disappointing. Service Failures: Despite enjoying the amazing waterslides and a delightful dinner at Paranza (the grouper is phenomenal!) , our evening was marred by a lack of turn-down service (seriously? no turn down service at 1K+ per night??) yet somehow...someone came into our room to remove our wine glasses. Attempts to resolve this simple issue through housekeeping and room service were met with incompetence, rudeness and transfer after transfer, wasting over 90 minutes of our precious last evening of our short getaway. After giving us a lot of attitude and runaround, they CHARGED us for the glasses which we never ended up using since it was almost midnight by the time we received them. Communication Breakdown: The inability of staff to promptly address our needs, coupled with contradictory responses and unprofessional behavior over the phone, left us frustrated and disappointed. This level of service does not align with the luxury status and pricing of The Cove. Mismanagement of Special Requests: Our stay at The Cove, Atlantis Bahamas was limited to just two days, during which we expected flawless service to maximize our brief getaway. Unfortunately, this was far from the reality we encountered. Despite anticipating a seamless experience, a special order that included macarons was mishandled and omitted, despite clear documentation from the hotel confirming their inclusion. This oversight resulted in unnecessary time spent rectifying the issue during our checkout process, which was frustrating given our limited time at the resort. Positive Aspects: Despite these setbacks, the physical amenities of The Cove, such as the pools, beach, and entertainment options, were enjoyable. The on-site staff we interacted with in person were courteous and accommodating, which makes the systemic service failures all the more disappointing. Conclusion: Our experience at The Cove, Atlantis Bahamas fell far short of the luxury and service we expected and paid for. The cumulative effect of multiple service failures, from the mishandling of special requests to the disrespectful treatment over the phone, cast a shadow over what should have been a special occasion for us. The $100 compensation offered did little to acknowledge the inconvenience and frustration caused, especially considering our substantial expenditure
