My wife and I were only here for a night but we’re thoroughly impressed with our stay at Shady Rest. Mark and his team were welcoming, and our suite was large, clean, and comfortable. The rest of the house has a great vintage vibe as well. It was great getting to know Mark, and chatting with a local about the area. He had some great recommendations for things that we initially overlooked in the area, not to mention a fabulous cook for breakfast :) Would highly recommend the Shady Rest to anyone in the Takaka area.
