Interesting to see Mitscaype's review because the exact same thing happened to me! Made a booking with my usual card, received confirmation and was then told the card was invalid. The card isn't invalid and I have used it since, I am a regular traveller. So I called the hotel and a very nice man said the card didn't work and now my boss tells me we are full. So no chance to 'correct' the 'problem', promised to call me back but never did. So I challenged this and placed another card on the booking. Then 7 hours later received a message from the card provider asking if I approved a payment to the hotel to which I answered YES. Immediately called the hotel and another nice man said sorry but we are full and your cards are not working. Please try again I requested, 'no point, we are full'. 'But what about my booking?' Anyway to cut a long story short, Paris prices were sky high, double what I had paid, so I understand why they didn't want to provide me with a room. But it's a bad game, played by people who do not care for their customers. For sure overbooking mistakes happen but don't blame the customer and their perfectly working card - we're not stupid. So I would be careful booking with these people as you may not have a booking when you really need it and they probably won't bother to tell you either.

I enjoyed my short stay. Good location, nice view from my window. Comfortable bed. Front desk was helpful and very pleasant. I didn’t try the food at the hotel. That will be for next time, as I will definitely be back to this hotel.
Ibis Paris Ornano Montmartre Nord 18EME

The room given by the hotel is the top floor, just like the attic, there is a slope, so the top of the room is not flat. Because the room is small, the slope is on the edge of the bed and it is easy to touch. The location is not bad, there are subways and some small restaurants on the side, McDonald's is not far away, there is a bigger supermarket at the intersection. The bathroom is also very small, and people who brush their teeth should be sideways.

Montmartre
It's adequate. In a studio suite with a small kitchen. The room is standard European size however no air conditioning. The bathroom is alright and the beds on the softer side of things. There is a washer and dryer in the basement for guests. It's in a great location if you don't mind walking past the history of the area. It's in Pigalle Quarter so know its history so you are not caught off guard. It's totally safe and right around the corner from Moulin Rouge. Get a higher floor room as it is quieter. I can see the Sacre Couer from my window. Lots of restaurants and bars within minutes from the hotel as well as your traditional fast food and grocery stores as well. A very short walk to two different metro lines.
Kyriad Paris 18 - Porte de Clignancourt - Montmartre

This was a last minute booking due to our return journey to London on the Eurostar being cancelled. We had to find somewhere to stay for an extra 2 nights and the Kyriad Hotel was reasonable priced. The hotel is situated on a main road in an area which I would describe as being somewhat ”edgy”. Were I traveling alone as a female I would have probably not have ventured out alone after dark. But we were traveling as a couple and didn't stay out late, so this was not an issue for us. The bonus is that the Metro station is literally 3 minutes walk away with a direct line to Gare du Nord (for Eurostar travelers). Also a 15-20 minute walk gets you to Montemartre which is a great area for sightseeing with an excellent choice of restaurants. The hotel itself was perfectly fine for a 3 star hotel - functional, clean and the staff were really lovely. We had a room facing the courtyard and it was quiet, we slept well at night. The beds (two singles pushed together) were comfortable and the linens clean and crisp. The shower had plenty of hot water and the towels were good quality. The buffet breakfast was adequate and whilst the choice was limited, the food was tasty and fresh. We were able to leave our luggage in a locked cupboard on our last day so that we could go out and explore. The reception staff were ever so helpful and spoke excellent English as well as Italian. All in all I would not hesitate recommending the Kyriad Hotel.
Hotel les Jardins de Montmartre Paris

At the end of a long road trip in Europe, the Jardins de Montmartre was the perfect hotel for two brothers. The unique room provided each of us with our own bathroom, our individual very large twin bed, separate televisions, and a door separating our two half-rooms. A little privacy after a lot of time living closely!.. The room also had a coffee/tea maker and a safe. Moving-around space was a bit limited but not a big issue. The bathrooms both had very large showers with ample hot water from the rain-forest fitting. Excellent views of the street from one bedroom and from one shower!.  The front desk was manned 24/7 and can provide wake up calls. The beds were very comfortable with like-new linens. The hotel is located near two Metro lines and near many cafes and restaurants. Our very special room was replicated on at least two other floors. I wholeheartedly recomend the hotel to any set of travellers who want a great place to share but with some individual services.
